Exam Rules

I was standing with my blood dragon on my shoulder at the side of a fountain that spewed out clear water, but as it made contact with the air the liquid turned a dark green before making contact with the bottom of the well.

The school was full of energy and the students were rushing around me. As they passed me, I started to examineine most themthem for those that stood out to me because these students would be my competition to the top.

I used the vile of blood that was around my neck, and I put a single drop in each of my eyes. When I did this, I was able to read the abilities of anyone that I looked at if they had any rare or bloodline-based abilities.

As I looked around at the new students, I noticed that the majority of them did possessoses any bloodline abilities that I should be concerned with. The only people that stood out towere were a pair of male dark fairies tcouldy to manipulate up to three people or creatures at a time. The second being that stood out to me was a blood elf that was wearing simple robes she had black wrap around her fists. This told me that she was some kind of monk.

I wondered how the other blood elf had gotten past the dark veil. If this other blood elf that was a student passed the entrance exam; I would have to ask them about that.

Strovose made his way over to me and handed me a map of the school grounds.

"Okay, I have finished filing all of your paperwork with the school. You are supposed to be at the trial hall; your entrance exam will be expelled if you are late."

I then left him and made my way through the crowd to the building that was supposed to have the entrance exam in it.

This building was at least thirty feet in height with three floors. The entire build was black except for the golden supportthatms. In the front of the building, I saw a set of five huge statues that were of the people who had been the headmasters of the school.

As I walked through the door to the building, I saw a massive open room that had eight huge teleportation circles in it.

The students around me walked into four separate lines. When they made it to the front of the line, I saw that each of the students went to the different teleporters after they received a piece of paper.

I got into the line on the far right and waited for about ten minutes until I was up at the front of it.

At the front of the line, I was able to see that there was a female vampire behind a desk that took a quick look up at me, and then looked back down at her paperwork as if I was not worth her attention.

"Name please". She said to me in a very monotone voice.

"Syndrell" I said to her, but she did not even look up.

"Okay, what type of creature do you have with you?".

"I have a blood dragon as my familia."

"You are going to have to repeat that". She told me as I saw her you up at me with an expression of misbelief on display across her face.

"I have a blood dragon." I told her again.

"You have a blood dragon!!" she yelled at the top of her lungs as she rose out of her chair.

I noticed that everyone in the room was starting to stare at us due to this vampire's outburst.

"Stay right there please, and I will be back in a few moments". She said to me as I saw her walk into a room that was behind her desk, only a few minutes passed before she came out of the room with an elderly male dark fairy.

"It has been brought to my attention that you have a blood dragon as a companion. Before we accept a statement that is that bold, we are going to have to use the spell appraisal to confirm what you have said". The older gentleman said to me as I saw his eyes turn a dark blue.

Then I saw a magic circle of the same circle appear around my blood dragon. The circle moved all around my blood dragon for a few seconds before vanishing.

"It is official. She does have a blood dragon as a companion. Give this female blood elf a number." The man said as he looked at me with a large smile.

"Thank you very much," I said to him as I grabbed the slip of paper.

"I will be watching you while you are a student here. The last time someone with a blood dragon entered this school they brought a massive change to the world around them. This is going to be either a great or terrible set of years". He said to me as I walked away.

Since I was now done with sorting my registry, I got on the first teleporter that was available. I made it to the end of the teleportation and noticed that I was in a medium room with black tiled flooring. Against the wall that was in front of me, I saw an active red portal. Whatever was on the other side of the portal was most likely the area where I was going to be taking the exam.

The room was filled with a large number of students from a variety of different races. They were all lined up in four different rows as if they were waiting for someone before they began the exam.

After a bit of time had passed, I saw a male red orc walk out of the portal, and as they did everyone wlly silent.

"Welcome students; I am the instructor for this event. I will explain the conditions of this year's entrance exam. As you can probably tell the students are not all here in this room; that is because we have randomly divided you into four separate rooms. Each of these rooms has a portal to the battlefield of the exam. Your portal leads to the western entrance.

The rules of this event are quite simple. The first rule is that there are no rules. You have the freedom to do as you desire while on the battlefield. The main thing that you must know is that out of all of the first-year students only forty of you will pass this exam.

Now venture forth, and claim your victory either it be through manipulation of the people around you, or would you choose to murder those in your way. It does not matter how you achieve victory. Let the contest begin!" the red orc said to all of us as the portal activated behind him.

Everyone around me rushed into the portal as if they were in an active panic which I had found a little bit immature. I waited until the room was more vacant before moving through the active portal knowing that my first set of obstacles to the top of the academy were waiting for me on the other side.
