Why I Became A Villian

They say every villain is the hero of their story… They are wrong! There is no such thing as heroes and villains, there is just evil. Evil, cruelty, that’s all I know, that's the only thing the world has shown me… Maybe I am wrong… Just maybe there is more to this world, other than the evil and cruelty I was forced to endure, but that doesn’t really matter anymore. A man is a mirror of the world he has been exposed to… Since I have seen the greatest evil the world has to offer, it is only natural I show the world evil in return. Hello there, I am Lucius Blackwell, let me tell you why I became the greatest villain of all time…

Mission: Kill Doctor Lisa {2}

A burly figure stepped out of a military truck, his footsteps heavy, and he was over 6.4 ft tall. Shield's suit was a deep blue with silver accents, made of reinforced armor plates that can absorb kinetic energy. His chest piece was particularly thick, with a large silver emblem of a shield at the center. The suit's joints were flexible, allowing for a full range of motion despite its heavy-duty appearance. Shield's gloves and boots were equipped with energy amplifiers, enhancing his ability to create and maintain kinetic barriers.

"A strong one… but nothing I can't handle." Shield laughed cockily as he clasped his hands together and a dazzling light erupted from his body.

Buzz!

His hands shot forward, fingers splayed wide, as he summoned his kinetic energy. A shimmering blue light radiated from his palms, quickly coalescing into a translucent barrier that began to take shape before him.

The kinetic barrier materialized with a hum of power, its edges crackling with blue energy. It solidified into a formidable wall, standing tall and wide, effectively creating a shimmering barricade between the approaching purple light and Shield's position.

The surface of the barrier was smooth but slightly rippled, like water frozen in motion, constantly shifting with the kinetic energy coursing through it.

"Hahahahahahaha! SHOW ME!" Lucius's eerie laughter boomed like lightning, and his deep voice sent shivers down the spines of all those who heard him.

STAMPEDE CHARGEEEEEEE!

BOOM!

Lucius smashed into the Kinetic barrier and to his surprise, his purple energy flowed into the barrier, strengthening it further.

Bang!

Bang!

Powerful shockwaves erupted as Lucius struggled, but it seemed like whatever he did was wasted.

"This barrier can absorb and reflect whatever is thrown at it. Trying to overpower it is pointless!" Shield laughed.

Against people who depended on pure force and overwhelming strength, he was certain of victory.

"Very well then, I will take this power as well!" Lucius laughed crazily as his wings stabbed into the barrier.

HAND OF GOD!

Buzz!

Lucius felt the familiar rush of energy beginning to transfer into his wings. The barrier reacted immediately, the kinetic energy within it surging towards Lucius's wings. The once-solid structure began to ripple and shimmer, its energy rapidly depleting, while Lucius's eyes glowed with the influx of power, his wings shimmering with dazzling purple energy.

"What's going on?" Tempest asked as she noticed the change.

"I-I don't know." Shield stuttered, his eyes widening with shock and confusion. "This should be impossible!"

Shield, sensing the weakening of his barrier, poured more energy into it, trying to maintain its integrity. But it was no use; Lucius's absorption was too powerful. While its power dwindled, Lucius's presence rapidly increased, this was a nightmare to all the guardians!

"HAAAH!" Lucius roared as he swiped his wing like a blade, splitting the remnants of the shield while sending a powerful shockwave forward!

Boom!

Guardians and soldiers alike were sent hurling back by a few meters, leaving behind Shield, who was on his knees with a deadly pale face. Standing in front of them was Black Death, his face hidden away behind the devil mask with massive crystal-like angelic wings. His entire figure was shrouded in a dark purple aura, pulsating bright after draining Shield of his power.

"Those wings… It can absorb energy…" Shield said weakly with eyes full of resentment. "You are Black Death."

Hehehehehe!

An eerie laughter escaped Lucius's lips, but his gaze remained cold. He channelled his Hand Of God ability through his wings to throw off suspicion about his real identity and make it seem it was part of his wing's ability.

Shiiiiiiiiiii!

Blaze, Tempest, and other soldiers slowly to their feet as they noticed a dark purple mist defuse from Lucius's body. His eyes shifted toward, Shield, and a crazed grin spread across his lips.

"I will start with you first!"

SWISH!

Lucius took a step forward in Shield's direction and froze as a torrent of flames rushed between him and the weakened sidekick. His gaze shifted to the side where Blaze stood with a deep frown etched on his face.

"Don't you just stand there, Kill him!" Tempest ordered and almost immediately barrages of energy beams rained down on his location.

Thud!

Lucius snorted disdainfully as he covered himself with his wings.

Buzz!

Buzz!

The energy beams struck his wings and not only did they fail to penetrate, the aura shrouding his body gained more power. Soon the air around Lucius began trembling, his wings shimmering with steam as if it was unable to contain the staggering amount of energy it had consumed already.

"Fools! His wings can absorb all forms of energy!" Shield roared, but it was too late.

SIGNATURE MOVE: LEAFLESS!

KEEEEESHHHHHHIIIIIIIIIII!

Lucius let out an inhuman cry as he forcefully opened his wings, releasing an outburst of fierce purple energy, but within the purple energy shockwave were crystallized feathers of his wings.

BOOM!

Painful cries, death screams, and wails of injured resonated from the cloud of dust that shrouded the battlefield. Deafening sirens of the Titan city marauder boomed, while its blinding searchlight remained pinned at the spot, waiting to see the outcome of the clash.

"You, are really good." Lucius's voice could be heard as the dust faded.

Revealing Shield, standing, his body riddles with bloody wounds. His breathing was heavy, his face pale and his eyes lifeless.

As the dust completely faded, a massive blue barrier could be seen standing between Lucius, soldiers, and guardians alike. The barrier was riddled with holes, but it still managed to stop the majority of the feather blades.

Bam!

Shield fell to his knees once again, his vision blurry as he watched Black Death's figure approach. His outstretched hand attracted the crystal feathers, which formed a feather blade.

"You…." Shield wanted to speak, but was cut off by Lucius.

"You have done enough already, It's time to rest." Lucius said as he slashed forward, decapitating the hero with a single swing.
