Why I Became A Villian

They say every villain is the hero of their story… They are wrong! There is no such thing as heroes and villains, there is just evil. Evil, cruelty, that’s all I know, that's the only thing the world has shown me… Maybe I am wrong… Just maybe there is more to this world, other than the evil and cruelty I was forced to endure, but that doesn’t really matter anymore. A man is a mirror of the world he has been exposed to… Since I have seen the greatest evil the world has to offer, it is only natural I show the world evil in return. Hello there, I am Lucius Blackwell, let me tell you why I became the greatest villain of all time…

Mission: Kill Doctor Lisa {1}

… A week Later …

Lucius stood on a rooftop, dressed in an oversized black cloak and the black devil mask. The view was breathtaking yet ominous, as the dark, windy night cast an eerie atmosphere over the urban landscape. The cold wind whipped around, howling through the gaps between buildings and sending shivers down the spine of anyone brave enough to be out in the open. The sky was an inky black canvas, with only a few stars managing to peek through the thick blanket of clouds.

[Silver is already onto Black Death. Don't you think it's time to lie low? Killing that woman can't be that important.]

Lyxor tried to talk Lucius out of this plan, but he wasn't responding. He simply stood there, waiting for the sign of the convoy carrying Doctor Lisa and the others involved in Project Power.

[God Dammit Lucius! B-rated guardians are assigned as escorts. I know you are pissed about project power and all that, but it's not worth risking your life!] Lyxor warned.

{A/N: They were able to get this information by logging into the hero portal with Lucius's account and finding out which guardians applied for the escort Job.}

Lucius remained silent and focused on the city below, the streets were a mixture of shadows and patches of light from street lamps, car headlights, and neon signs. The faint hum of the city's nightlife was a distant murmur, punctuated by occasional sirens and the distant throb of music from nightclubs. But tonight, something felt different, a tension hanging in the air that was palpable even from this height.

"There they are…" Lucius's eyes let out a fierce purple glow.

Suddenly, the tranquillity was broken by the sight of flashing blue and red lights slicing through the darkness. A convoy of police vehicles and military trucks made their way through the city streets, their lights reflecting off the wet pavements. The convoy moved with purpose, flanking a large, heavily reinforced prison van, which was a hulking beast of steel and armor.

[Heavy!] Lyxor commented and Lucius frowned.

"A tremendous amount of power would be needed to break through that armor." Lucius admitted.

The police cars led the way, sirens blaring and lights blazing, while armored trucks brought up the rear, their hulking forms filled with heavily armed troops. The officers inside were tense, their eyes scanning the surroundings, hands gripping weapons, ready for any sign of trouble, while the bright searchlight of the Titan City marauder scanned the area around the convoy.

As the convoy approached a major intersection, additional police units became visible, stationed at strategic points to block off access and ensure the convoy's safe passage. The intersection itself was bathed in the harsh, unyielding light of floodlights set up by the advance team.

The lights revealed four notable figures, the first was B-rated guardian Blaze. He wore a flame-resistant suit that hugged his muscular frame. The suit is predominantly red with orange and yellow accents that resemble flickering flames, complementing his fiery red hair. His gloves and boots are reinforced with heat-proof materials, allowing him to channel and direct his fire abilities without damaging his gear. Blaze's mask covered his entire head, leaving only his eyes visible through flame-shaped visors.

The second was also a B-rated Tempest. She had long white hair in contrast to her suit, which was primarily black with electric blue and silver accents that mimic the appearance of lightning bolts. Conductive circuits ran throughout the fabric, enhancing her ability to generate and control electricity. Tempest's gloves had built-in conductors that enabled her to channel electrical currents with precision. Her mask was a half-face design, covering her eyes and nose, with visors that could detect electrical signatures.

[There are meant to be two more. Their sidekicks…] Lyxor warned.

'They are in the military vehicles.' Lucius grinned cruelly.

"Let's begin." Lucius's skin darkened as his archangel wings unfolded.

Buzz!

Lucius jumped off the building and his body released a bright purple light which caught the attention of the soldiers and guardians who were quite far away.

"What the hell is that?" Tempest frowned.

'Have the Titan city marauder focus his lights on that thing! I want vision, now!" Blaze barked orders while his eyes followed the purple light.

It was too far and wasn't heading in their direction, so what was the point of all this?

What were its real intentions?

[Stampede Charge…]

As Lucius fell, he kept accumulating power, the energy building within him with each passing second. The air rushed past his face, and the ground below seemed to approach at an alarming speed. Yet, there was a focused intensity in his eyes, a plan forming in his mind.

Right before his leg hit the ground, he felt a surge of strength. His wings unfurled with a sudden burst of energy, spreading wide and catching the air. In a split second, they beat downwards with tremendous force, creating a shockwave that propelled him forward with incredible speed.

Buzz!

Lucius turned his fall into a sprint, his feet barely grazing the ground as he shot forward.

Swish!

The environment blurred around him as he surged ahead, the wind whipping against his face and the ground a mere blur beneath his feet. His heart pounded in rhythm with the powerful strokes of his wings, each beat propelling him forward, faster and faster, maintaining the momentum he had gained from his fall.

"This is it…Hahahaha-Hahahahaha! THIS IS POWER!" Lucius laughed as he felt the immense power surging through his body with each passing moment.

Lucius's veins were pulsating with purple light, while his heart was beating faster than ever. His entire body was covered in what seemed like a dome of purple energy, increasing in size as he moved.

"Shit!" Tempest muttered as she felt the tremendous energy charging in their direction.

It wasn't just powerful, it was constantly growing with each passing moment.

"Shield, we need you!" Blaze screamed with a fearful look on his face.
