Why I Became A Villian

They say every villain is the hero of their story… They are wrong! There is no such thing as heroes and villains, there is just evil. Evil, cruelty, that’s all I know, that's the only thing the world has shown me… Maybe I am wrong… Just maybe there is more to this world, other than the evil and cruelty I was forced to endure, but that doesn’t really matter anymore. A man is a mirror of the world he has been exposed to… Since I have seen the greatest evil the world has to offer, it is only natural I show the world evil in return. Hello there, I am Lucius Blackwell, let me tell you why I became the greatest villain of all time…

First Day In The Academy

First-year students of the Guardian Academy walked into the auditorium for their normal class, but they were shocked to see an unexpected yet familiar face.

Bruce Ainsworth stood on the podium next to the First year homeroom guardian. The homeroom guardian was a 5'7 ft tall blonde-haired lady dressed in a tight white suit, revealing her curves and bumps.

A few minutes later, there were fifty confused students in a massive auditorium with over three thousand seats. They were scattered across the rooms, seated in groups, but what they all had in common was a confused look on their faces.

"I know what's in your mind. Why did Doctor Bruce leave his busy schedule to meet you all this morning." Doctor Bruce said, his voice booming without a microphone.

"Well, today I have come to personally announce the arrival of a new student, but not just any student." Bruce said with a smile that stunned everyone.

Bruce Ainsworth was usually called the Ice Prince because of his frosty personality, so seeing him smile was something that shocked everyone.

"Originally we had four S-rated potential students, but today I am proud to announce the arrival of the fifth S-rated potential student and the newest noble of the United States of America. Lucius Blackwater."

Buzz!

The entire class fell into an eerie silence, their gaze filled with shock. Each of the S-rated potential students, even though not all had abilities, were all members of the Big four.

The fact the new S-rated potential student was a new noble meant he was a slave discovered outside the walls. Never has a slave had ratings above B.

Bam.

The doors of the auditorium swung open and Lucius walked in. He was dressed in a black jacket, a white shirt with a purple skull design on it.

He wore black jeans which complimented his black boots, but his buff build was visible within his attire.

How did this kid….' Bruce was taken aback.

When he saw Lucius yesterday, the boy was emaciated and clearly malnourished. Right now, Lucius had a fairer skin, his body buff and chiseled.

He didn't look like a slave who just made it big a day ago.

Unknown to him, the devour ability allowed Lucius's body to process the nutrients he got from anything he consumed. After the feast he had yesterday, he became this just after a good night's sleep.

Even Lucius's maids were horrified, not only by the quantity of food he consumed but by the sudden change. This made them wonder what his ability was.

'I guess there is a lot about this kid I don't know yet. But does this have something to do with the Hand of God ability?' Bruce Ainsworth was genuinely confused.

Unfazed by the gaze of over fifty students, Lucius walked in and picked a deserted part of the auditorium to sit. Of all the gazes pinned on him, the one he found most disturbing belonged to the homeroom guardian.

[As an S-rated guardian with no background and understanding of how this new world works, there are many eager to take advantage of you.]

'They will be disappointed.' Lucius was aware of this and wasn't really surprised.

A nation built on the sweat and blood of millions of underprivileged citizens was bound to have opportunistic citizens.

"Well, that's all I came here to do. Welcome, Lucius… I hope you will live up to my expectations." Bruce Ainsworth said, and Lucius casually nodded.

Bastard!

Students were enraged!

Everyone was looking for an opportunity to build a relationship with a renowned figure like Bruce Ainsworth, yet he was threatening the man like air.

What was even more shocking was that Bruce didn't seem to care. He just smiled and walked out of the auditorium, occasionally throwing glances in Lucius's direction with a thoughtful expression.

Cough.

Cough.

The female homeroom guardian faked a cough to get the attention of her students as she walked up the podium.

"This is a pleasant surprise and a good way to start the week." She said while glancing at Lucius' direction, but what she met was his blank expression which made her uncomfortable.

"My students call me Miss Joanne, I am a support type Guardian or a sidekick as most people call it and this academic session has been ongoing for two weeks now, but I can assure you, you haven't missed much." Miss Joanne said, but she still got no reaction from Lucius.

'What the hell is this kid, I feel like I'm being stared down by a wild beast.' She felt her skin crawl under Lucius's gaze.

"Well, we were meant to have our combat class this morning, but we had to postpone due to Doctor Bruce's announcement. I believe this will be a good opportunity to get to know you better and your ability." Miss Joanne said before hastily getting off the podium.

Lucius looked around and realized everyone was dressed in tracksuits.

'Fuck my life. I have to fight in jeans.' Lucius cursed.

At this point, students were already leaving the auditorium, occasionally throwing glances his way. While some seemed wary, others were envious and a few were even angry.

"Hey… you can't fight in that. Come on, let's hurry back to the dorm." A voice spoke between sniffs.

Lucius was stunned someone had the guts to speak to him. He looked in the direction of the voice origin, only to see a ball-shaped kid with untidy red hair and a runny nose.

He looked pathetic in his blue tracksuit and seemed like someone with zero sense of self-preservation.

Lucius had a wild presence that made everyone instinctively avoid him, but this kid didn't seem to notice or care.

"Didn't you hear me? You need to change before the class starts." The fat kid placed his sticky hand on his shoulder.

"What the hell?" Lucius blurted out with a look of shock as he shoved the kid's hand off.

Bam!

He struck the belly of the kid with an open palm, sending him crashing into the role of chairs a few meters away.
