In a warehouse in the suburbs outside of town. There was a man tied hanging on the wall with signs of being tortured.
The door was opened from outside, and a man walked in slow, clear steps.
"Has he spoken yet?'
"No sir"
"Wake him up."
"okay"
Coldwater was splashed on his face. He gasps for air before trying to open his eyes completely to look ahead. From the look of it, The man seemed to have been trained for years.
"Just kill me. Am not going to talk"
"You wish"
George walked over to the man and sat down.
He picked a rod and inserted it fire. He seemed relaxed, like whatever he was doing was normal. It looked as it was not his first time doing the same.
"It's not hard answering a few questions. At least you can still keep your life. I don't like blood spilled on my hands. Well, at least that is what I believe, but it always ends up happening anyway." George said in a relaxed cold tone as he folded his shirt's long sleeve
If Steph could see how cold her man was, she would think again about being with him.
"The man gulped hard and said hesitantly," I am not afraid, do it quickly get it over and done once and for all. I am not going to say anything. Even if….aaaaahh." Before he finished whatever he wanted to say, a hot rod was pieced on his thigh.
The culprit behaved like it was a normal procedure and not hurried in any way.
"What I hate the most is being interrupted when I want to spend more time with my woman. For that, you will have to pay."
The man was already injured by his men earlier, and his upper body was all bloody. Full of cuts. He called for one of his men, and he brought salted water to the boss.
"Boss, here is the water and everything you need."
"Good"
"Well, let's see for how long you are going to hold on."
He picked a tin that was brought and poured it on the man. He could not hold his shout no matter how he tried. It was painful. His expression was awful.
Before waiting, George continued to pour the salted water on him after he stopped shouting each time.
He could not hold on anymore and shouted for them to stop
"Stop… stop… stop, just kill me."
"No, that is not what you are supposed to say, my friend. Do you think I hold you important because of that information? Even if you don't say, I have my own way of finding out."
"I am giving you one more chance if you repeat the wrong thing. You will be eaten alive by crocodiles that you see on the other side of the room."
The guy was scared this time. He did not want to lose his life. In fact, he was not paid for the work he did. It's more important to save his life.
"I was paid by Mrs. Jackson to kill him. I don't know anything else. She just sent the picture and address to me. Please let me go. I will not cross you over again. In fact, I will leave town forever."
"Hey, relax. I won't do anything to you. Okay."
George instructed the man to be released and sent blindfolded out of the area somewhere he won't know his way back.
"Boss, are you sure about this" One of his men asked
"Do you think the Smiths and Mrs. Jackson will let him go? I won't do anything because he has not done anything to me. Let's them deal with him on their own."
On his way back to his apartment, he called Mr. Jackson and updated him. He then called Steph. Though they had seen each other earlier, he missed her like crazy. He wished to marry her tomorrow and for her to stay with him forever by his side.
"Hey honey, I miss you," George said immediately. Steph picked her phone.
"I miss you too. You don't know how I am feeling right now. It's like I can't stay another minute without you."
The moment Steph said that it was like she had awakened a beast. He swiftly turned on the road and headed towards her home direction. Steph was not sure what was happening and was concerned.
"what was that? Are you okay?"
She asked and sat down on her bed
"Wait for me."
That was what Steph heard on the phone before it was rudely hanged up. She was confused.
"What's wrong with him today? Ttts" She went back to bed and lay down. As soon as sleep was almost taking over, she heard something knocking on her window. She was not sure whether it was a dream or true. She went to check it out and was surprised to see George on her window. She opened it and let him in.
"What are you doing here at…" before she could say anything, her lips were captured. It felt amazing, and she let go of struggling and let herself enjoy the moment with her man.
After a few rounds of an intensely passionate kiss, she looked down the window and asked what would happen if he fell and hurt himself.
"Don't worry. That distance is nothing."
"What if someone could've seen you?"
"I don't care. I am only here to see you. I missed you, and you said you couldn't stay another minute without me. I am here to keep you company."
"That's what I felt, but it's not like I can die without seeing you?"
"Ouch, that hurts," George said, touching his chest pretending to be hurt by her words. Steph laughed her heart out but was careful not to wake everyone in the house.
George and Steph stayed together the whole night talking about life, what they wanted to do in the future, and more. By 3 am George left through the window and back to his home. If he had a choice, he would stay with her in her room every day.
In the next few days, things were brewing behind the scenes of each of them. Sharon was planning something big for George.
