Your place or mine?

Soham helped her sit on the chair. "What do you mean by that?" Serene asked him when no one was around. 'What did he mean by accepting that he is my boyfriend. What did he mean by saying that he would take care of her.' 

Soham knew what she was thinking, and he didn't find anything wrong in what he said. He would take care of her for three days, because he knows that she is living alone, her brother is currently not present for her, she doesn't even know how to cook. How will she be able to take care of herself when she isn't even allowed to get up. He isn't leaving her at all in these three days.

"My place or yours?" He asked straightforwardly.

"Cough cough... What did you say?" She almost laughed out loud by his choice of words. It sounds so sensual for her. She knew what he meant but... Cough cough... She lightly coughed and looked at him, who was looking at her confusingly, because he didn't know what he said was wrong. "Aahh but there's really no need, i'll take care of it." She assured him.

"..." Soham internally scoffed at her. The condition she is in, is also her fault to begin with. He would never believe her for herself.

Serene can easily see the 'i am not believing you' expression on him for her. "Hey just because you are silent doesn't mean I'll agree to it either." She said angrily. She isn't scared of him anymore. She needs to stand for her words this time.

He understands that he can't force her on this, he needs her consent for this. He sat on her empty bed and said "See i won't leave you alone. If you have anyone who can help you to take care of yours, then i won't say a word, otherwise..." You have to bear me for three days the least.

With slight hope of light she immediately said "Of course i have. I will call my friend Roy to help me." She took out her phone.

His expression darkened with the thought of another man around her for the whole three days alone in one shelter. He didn't want this for her at all but he also didn't have the right to interfere in her business. He coldly said to her. "Call but put it on speaker."

Serene obediently did what he asked. She isn't angry at him for being this forcefully against her choice, because agree or not she is very thankful that he brought her to the hospital, then even helped her through this process. He does deserve to know if she will be all right or not after him.

The call connected "Hello Roy!" She enthusiastically called him. Ahh she needs him today.

Roy was also happy to hear her voice but for different reasons "Ohh. Great, I was about to call you too, but you called me first. So what do you want from here? I think you will like chocolate from this country. It's delicious."

Serene face almost fell down for being this stupid and forgetful. How can she forget that Roy is going out of the country today with his father, that's why he couldn't join her at the orphanage.

She looked towards Soham who already raised his eyebrows amusingly with a smirk on his lips. He was definitely teasing her. 

She tightened her lips and stopped Roy from speaking more useless things about chocolates and said. "Ohh! That's great, bring me some. Ohh wait i'll call you again, brother is calling me. Biee..." Without waiting for Roy's reply she hung up his call.

She looked right then left trying to think of any reason to deny him when suddenly she got the best one. 

"I forgot that he was out of the country. But i can't stay with another man either. My brother won't allow it. So it's really not possible." She smiled with victory.

"Call him, I will talk to him." He straight away said. He can definitely talk to her brother.

She can't. She shook her head to deny this thought sternly "No if i call him he will come next morning right away. He is out with important work, I can't disturb him."
