Once Conor woke up, he noticed I was staring out the window, lost in my thoughts and questions. "Shelby?" I snapped out of it. "Huh?" He frowned at me. "You didn't get any sleep, did you?" I considered lying, but thought he would somehow know, so I told him. "Not a wink. That's cause of this thing up here." I moved my hand to point at my head, and noticed my other hand was trapped in his, then we both blushed. "Why am I not surprised?" He asked, shaking his head. "You tell me." I muttered, but before he could answer, my phone buzzed. He reached for it, but I was faster, snatching it from the bedside table, and opening Levi's text. Hm. He's not hote or cute. He's both! I snickered. Yeah, right. I texted back. His response came a minute later. You sure do seem to talk about him a lot. Admit it, you like him! Wait-Oh, my God, you two should totally fake date as a dare! I stared at what he had just sent me, a bit annoyed. That's not happening. Not now, not ever. It's really not like that...I looked down at my hand, still wrapped up by Connor's, but he didn't seem to notice. You sure? I'd bet my money he'd fall for you first, lol. I rolled my eyes. "Thats a stupid idea." "What is?" Connor asked, raising an eyebrow. "My friend, Levi, is convinced we're in love. So he's trying to get us together over text." Connor's expression showed his confusion. "And he's serious, isn't he?" I nodded. "He seems to think I have this massive crush on you-but I don't. And he just won't stop. It's starting to get annoying." Connor stayed silent for a minute, staring at the ceiling with an intense look, allowing me a look at his veiny neck. Quickly, I turned to look at the door, not wanting to get caught staring at him. But I knew I didn't have a crush on him. I was one-hundred percent sure. But then why was I still letting him hold my hand? Why was I so relaxed when I usually tense up at physical contact?
