Chapter 21 : yesterday

The mess of last night, Cali was beginning to remember it little by little. After Yaelle leaves as a remote-controlled robot; being an important regular, Klan asked one of the lounge employees to drive them home, giving him the keys to his car.

The car in the parking lot wasn't the coffin on four wheels, but it looked just as luxurious and less eye-catching. Cali got in the back. Even the back seats were comfortable, or so she thought. Cali closed her eyes; believing herself to be on her bed. Klan was also sitting in the back with her. He put the sleeping Cali's head on his thighs and leaned back in his seat then closed his eyelids in turn.

Their nap lasted to Klan's apartment _it was the only address their driver knew anyway_.

"Sir, here we are." The driver's voice brought him out of his nap. Klan attempted to wake Cali, but it was in vain. He hadn't regained all his senses yet, but this nap gave him some energy. So, he used it to carry her to his apartment.

Klan put Cali on the bed and heaved a sigh of relief. He was relieved to have had a good idea to join the girls. In this state, Cali was far too vulnerable to the attacks of all these wolves. How docile she had become, that mini dress that showed off her curves, the position she was lying in revealed her…

Klan blushes. He covered his flushed face with one hand. What the hell was he looking at?! he was not one of his wolves! Klan turns his back and looks down the hallway that overlooked the living room.

"I need to sleep right now," he mumbled to himself.

Hum! a groan sounded behind him. Then light footsteps approached. Cali had woken up. She was whispering something he could hear clearly as she passed him in the hallway. "I want to drink," she mumbled. Cali was waddling from side to side. Klan was afraid that she would bump into a piece of furniture or a wall. He caught her and took her in his arms.

"Wait here, I'll get you some water." Klan put her down on the couch in the living room and went to get her a glass of water.

Cali was lying on the couch in a provocative position. Tonight, Klan was put to the test. But he was determined not to lose his mind. He sat down next to her and helped her up to drink. After a while, Cali didn't want it anymore, she was now too hot.

" I am hot!" She tried to push the glass away from her lips but put too much strength into it and the contents of the glass spilled onto Klan. He was completely soaked. His wet t-shirt clung to his chest so that his pecs and abs stood out perfectly.

His wet chest, wet… It sounded so refreshing to her. As if she was in a trance, Cali laid her head on his dripping chest, this refreshing sensation was so pleasant that she had not realized that in addition to sitting on his thighs, Cali had started to lick the drops of water on Klan's neck

Since earlier, Klan had been fighting against his instincts, he was doing his best not to succumb to temptation. After all, he was her defender, not a wolf. But when Cali sat on top of him and the tip of her tongue brushed his neck, something snapped inside him, it was his self-control. His reason evaporated like an ice cube thrown into a volcano to cool it.

"I'm hot too. so, let's take a shower." Klan whispered in her ear with a low, sultry voice. Then he brought his face closer to hers. Only a few millimeters remained between their lips.

" Together ?!" Cali asked; also swayed by the mood.

" Why not?!" Klan places a light kiss on Cali's lips, "but first, we should take our clothes off."
