Ten eyes eagle

Roan, Jasper, and Lucas all stopped moving and stood still. The giant salamander with wounded leg was still rushing toward them.

It was not that every member of team was struck with fear. It was actually the ability of a Ten eyes eagle.

Roan instinctively looked at the flying beast and made contact with one of its widely spread eyes.

The moment he looked into the eye of the ten eyes beast, he felt an invisible force envelope his body.

The invisible force made him unable to move. He could only roll his eyes left and right. Other parts of his body except for the eyes were immobile.

It did not take him more than a second to understand why Lucas was standing without any reaction and why Jasper did not reply to him.

'There is one strange beast in the sky making us immobile and other beast on land rushing to us.'

'Can things get any worse?' Roan thought

He used his reinforce to breakthrough the restrictions but he could only move a little and could not escape.

He tried using wind path. Wind path was a skill which reinforced the user with the wind element. Suddenly he found that moving was possible.

He could not run away but walking was still possible.

'What type of skill that beast has? I can run at a speed similar to car but this strange bird's ability won't even let me walk.'

'If I want to escape with this speed then I am more likely to be targeted by both the beasts' Roan murmured to himself

He glanced at others and found that Lucas, Jasper and Jennie were all under the restrictions.

'How is Morris able to escape that weird ability? His defensive skill works on this type of beast abilities too?'

Roan was shocked, he never heard of an ability that could negate skills. There were some abilities with that function but not for the E ranks.

"Even B or A ranks would hardly be able to use such abilities. Only a particular family has a bloodline ability which can cancel skills"

"Is he from that family? then why is he only defending himself and not all of us?"

"I must be overthinking. It should be a perk of the beast armament." Roan said to himself

Roan did not waste further time and quickly looked for the strange bird. The bird was hovering over them but did not attack them.

It could seen that the strange bird beast was preparing him and his team for the salamander.

The salamander was still slowly walking to them. It did not increase its pace like it was an elderly going for a walk.

"Are they in a tactic understanding?" seeing the salamander slowly walking to him and the bird not attacking any of them made him realise the crisis.

He quickly thought of ways to escape or to kill the beast.

"I can kill the salamander using a sneak attack but after that the bird would be trouble."

"Only I am able to move and to a certain extent I can count on Morris."

Morris was only one unaffected of the bird's ability. He did not exactly know his condition but he believed that Morris would help at the very least.

"It is not like I am fighting for myself here. If he decides to not help then there's to need for me to risk my life."

He clearly made his stand and thought that he will kill the beasts only if Morris helps.

"Right, time to use inspect on the beasts."

He quickly used inspect on the bird with numerous eyes on its body.

Agility - 18

Energy - 18

"The stats of the beasts are not very high but it's restriction ability is a problem. If it uses the ability and attacks then no one will be able to escape."

He quickly used inspect again but this time on the giant salamander. He wanted to check the stats of salamander because he was about to sneak attack the beast.

He could not just rush to it for sneak attack without even knowing its capabilities. If the beast really happened to have high agility then it might become crisis for him.

He looked at the giant green ugly salamander of two meters and used inspect on it.

Race : Red salamander ( young )

Strength - 18

Stamina - 18

Agility - 14

Energy - 18

"What the heck red salamander, isn't it dark green in color?" Roan spoke in disbelief

"How did I believe this inspect skill when it cannot even get the color of beast clearly?" he was worried if the system has made a wrong decision.

He wanted to check the salamander again through inspect but he did not have any uses left of it.

He could only use it twice at a time and could not use it again in half an hour of its usage. Only after 30 minutes could he use it again twice.

"I think it might be a red salamander but because the salamander is young it still has a green color." he could only think of this and move on.

He did not know much about salamander and had no proof to refute the systems decision. He could only convince himself that system was correct.

The Ten eyes eagle clear by its name had ten eyes with each of them containing a terrifying telekinesis ability.

The body of the ten eyes eagle had all ten of its eyes equally spread on its body. The number of blind spots in its vision was very low.

However, Morris was still in such blind spot and was able to resist the telekinesis ability.

He was the first to see the Ten eyes eagle. He had a lot of knowledge of the strange flying beast.

Before he could warn others of the beast's terrifying abilities, he saw a giant salamander.

The giant salamander was the Red salamander and was rushing to them with its full speed which was very slow.

He was not able to alert others of the Ten eyes eagle and was placed under its telekinesis.

The ability of Ten eyes eagle was very devious. Not only it had functions of telekinesis but it also kept the prey from making any noise.

Morris was not able to speak and one by one the Ten eyes eagle restricted all of his teammates.

He was filled with regret. He knew about the beast but could not save anyone just because he wanted to save himself first.

"If only I had said it loud to not look into its eyes" Morris sighed

He was first one to notice the beast and that was why he could still move a little. He did not look into its eyes and was only placed with a normal restriction.

"I thought that if I do not look into its eyes then with my strength I would be able to bear its restrictions and telekinesis"

"Who knew that not only i am restricted of movement but i can't even speak. This is only the ability of Ten eyes eagle without looking into its eyes."

"I do not know how severe the restrictions are on others" Morris sighed again

He could move a little just like Roan but that small movement was not even enough to make a step, let alone escape.

He faced the tree as to not accidentally look into the Ten eyes eagle but now he couldn't even see others.

The restrictions placed on him by the beast was only half of what others felt but still it was very difficult for him to break free of it.

Roan could not bother to check on everyone of his teammates. He quickly circulated his energy and used reinforce on his hands.

He thought for a second then decided on quickly reinforcing his legs too.

"The salamander is huge, even if my fist pierces through it would still be not killed in one hit."

"If I want to kill it then I must use my leg to damage huge area of its body."

He knew that with his fists he would not be able to critically damage it.

Even if he did happen to hurt the salamander with its fist, he would not be able to escape from that close.

The salamander was only 5 meters away from him. The red salamander was still strolling slowly.

It was in no hurry to eat what it has already assumed to be its prey.

Distance between him and the salamander kept decreasing. When the Red salamander was only 3 meters away from him then Morris shouted from behind.

Roan was first in the line to face the Red salamander, behind him was Morris.

"Don't look into the bird's eye!!!!" Morris shouted exhausting all his strength.

He could not break free from the restrictions but could still shout out with some effort.

"Don't look into the bird's eye!!!!???. Could he not tell me this a minute ago" Roan frowned

"Now that I already know how to resist the ability then you go shouting giving me late advice, attracting the Red salamander which i planned to kill." Roan did not show a lot of emotions but he was very frustrated

He waited for the Red salamander to come to him. He pretended to be oppressed by restrictions to kill it easily with a sneak attack.

But then all of a sudden an idiot two meters away from him shouted and gained the beast's attention.

"No don't go, come here , noo!!" Roan's mouth twitched but he could not do anything.

"If the salamander wants to eat him first then be it. I can not dash two meters to save him" He said

Luckily the Red salamander only paused for a second to glance at Morris then continued walking towards Roan.

Jasper by now was able to move and had avoided eye contact with the Ten eyes eagle, reducing the restrictions on him.

He also heard Morris shout out loud not to look into the bird's eye. That was the reason he was able to confirm his hypothesis and quickly escaped the restrictions.

"It is good that he confirmed my guess. If not for him then I might not have been able to make a decision this quickly." Jasper said with gratitude towards Morris

Jasper was the second person after Morris to notice the Ten eyes eagle but he did not know the peculiarity of the beast.

The strange body of bird with several eyes on its body gained his attention. He instinctively looked into the bird's eye and suffered.

But because of the strange eyes on its body he made a guess that eye was the reason for his restrictions.

He was not able to quickly confirm it but after analyzing for a minute he found it feasible.

Before Morris shouted, Jasper was still saving a little of his strength and did not put a lot of effort in escaping the eyes.

But after he heard what Morris said, he quickly used all of his brute strength to turn his head down.

Once he turned his head down, he felt only half of his previous restrictions. It was at least possible for him to move.

The Red salamander was only a meter away from Roan. He quickly readied himself to dash at the beast and kill it.

But suddenly he felt restrictions on his bod wear off. He was able to move freely and did not feel any pressure.

"Is the Ten eyes eagle betraying the Red salamander? Or is it confident that I am not a threat to its partner?"

"Whatever it is , this my chance" Roan said

He dashed to the Red salamander, the salamander was about to dash and tackle him.

But when it was still in middle of preparing it dash, it felt a kick to its head.

Roan dashed within a second after his freedom. He wanted to punch the Red salamander. But because it was ready to dash and held its body high, he could not muster enough strength so he used a full swing kick from its left.
