CHAPTER 1: first day of senior high.

Upon awakening before dawn on the first day of senior high school, I heard my mom's urgent voice: "AVA!! You're going to be late, get out of that bed!" I responded with a grumble, "I'm up," my glum expression evident on my face. "Ugh, it's Monday, the first day of senior year," I muttered to myself.

I hurried into the bathroom, had a quick bath, grabbed my belongings from the table, and called out, "I'm leaving, see you later, Mom!" I gave her a cheek kiss and forced a smile before heading out of the house. My dad had left a few minutes earlier, and I couldn't help but feel a pang of disappointment that he hadn't waited to see me off on my first day.

As I arrived at the school gate, I ran into my best friend Molly. She's average height, with natural blonde hair and piercing blue eyes. Just as the school bell rang, she rushed into the biology classroom, leaving me wondering why she wasn't heading to our history class together. I thought to myself, "Maybe she switched courses?" I proceeded to my history class, relieved to have arrived early. "Not late, at least I came in early," I thought, feeling a sense of accomplishment.

As the instructor entered the room, she greeted us with a warm "Good morning, class." She took her time getting to know each student, asking us to introduce ourselves, which took over fifteen minutes. When it was finally my turn, I stood up, smiled, and said, "Hello, I'm Ava."

After introducing myself I took my seat and class proceeds to honest it's was fun during class and the instructor had to give an open class for everyone to drop their opinion on the topic we had.

Bells rang. 'Hey, Ava, I turned around to see it was Danny, my seatmate, who winked at me. I would admit, he was quite handsome. 'Hey, what's up, Danny?' I said to him with a mysterious, cunning smile. I was thinking about the conclusion you gave on The Great Gatsby; it was kinda interesting,' he said, smiling. In my thoughts, I was swimming in excitement, but I had to keep my cool. 'Thank you,' he said and left.

Okay, Ava, brighten up, it's the first day of high school! After giving myself a self-affirmation, I walked down the hallway when this tall, pale, white-haired guy walked past me. I was staring at him without realizing it, and Molly was watching me. 'Jesus, Molly, what was that?' 'I know you like him,' Molly said, smiling. 'I don't like him, I admire him; come on, I just saw him! Let's head home.' But honestly, I couldn't get my thoughts away from the guy in the hallway. 'Ava!! Oh shit, it's mom! Come on, Molly, let's get going!' I hope you guys enjoyed this chapter, though."
