Confused thought.

Nolan got out and took a quick glance around but there was no sign of Nancy and Jay, he was still looking when Tara saw him.

She approached him.

"Why are you looking like a lost cow? What did you lose that you are seeking?", Tara asked but instead of a response, Nolan ignored and returned back to the cafeteria.

"Weirdo", Tara said.

Nancy and Jay returned back to the class and after a short while, the school bell rang, and the class continued.

The next day was prom and the organizers were busy after school to make sure the hall for the event was perfectly organized.

One of the organizers was Tara and she has always been one for years now, Nolan was supposed to be one of the organizers but he had excused himself.

Jay had left immediately the last bell went off.

Nancy got a text from Jada so she had packed her bags and was ready to move out when Stacy and her two friends were seen walking in.

They met at the entrance of the class and judging from their expression, they were not there to play around.

Nancy knew they were in her way so she stopped and stared at Stacy for what it was they wanted.

"Nancy… right?", Stacy asked, glaring with her eyelids raised.

Nancy didn't like what was happening, one of the things she tried avoiding since she got to Westwood was drama, and knowing why Stacy was trying to pick a fight right now, she knew that would cause rumor and Tara would also find out her little secret.

"I am kind of busy now, whatever it is… let us do that later", Nancy said and found her way away from them but almost immediately Stacy followed and pulled her back.

Nancy took her hand from the girl and frowned in annoyance.

"What is this?", she asked in a lower tone.

Stacy folded her arms, narrowed her eyes, and walked towards Nancy.

"I am going to be confessing my feelings to Nolan on his birthday next month… and he would be mine… so I am telling you now to back off, do not waste your time on him, I see you two have gotten close… everyone talking about it, I don't like that, so watch your steps, Nolan and I have been together for a very long time now, we don't want an intruder".

Out of everything Stacy said to her, the only thing that got stuck in her mind was the fact that people were seeing her with Nolan and they were talking about it, she got curious and how quickly everyone noticed.

Stacy scoffed after she got no response from Nancy.

"I don't think there is a reason why you should hang around him anymore, you know he has been mine right from time and he would always be mine", she added.

Nancy sighed softly, "Right can I leave now?", she responded and turned to leave.

Stacy got even more furious at how unbothered Nancy seemed, she turned to her friends, huffing and puffing in annoyance.

"You two think she is actually messing with Nolan right? I see how he looks at her, how he wants to protect her, and he has been distant with me, do you girls think something could be happening?", Stacy asked her friends who also seemed confused.

"I need answers!!!", she exclaimed.

Nancy got home together with Jada, the girl didn't meet her Aunt Kat at home and that wasn't unusual, they entered the room and Jada immediately took off her shirt leaving her bra top on.

"Was waiting all day to do that", she exclaimed.

"Why do you wear big shirts when you can't wait to take them off when you get home Jada, isn't that stressful?", Nancy asked, she gulped in some water she had grabbed from the refrigerator while walking to her room.

Jada shook her head in disagreement.

"You cannot understand, the big shirt is part of my lifestyle and nothing would change it", Jada answered, she lay on the bed staring up at the light bulb.

There was a short silence among them and Jada decided to ask.

"So what is the update about you and Nolan?".

Nancy gasped and turned to Jada. "Why are you asking that? What if Tara was here, you would have…"

"Relax… I am not dumb! If Tara was here, I would not have asked that… I asked because she was not here…", Jada who was now sitting up and glaring at Nancy answered.

"I know, just don't want you making a mistake by forgetting she was here then you ask about Nolan, how about I mention it first then we talk about it, I know you, Jada, you are so clumsy", Nancy said.

Jada knew she was right but still denied it by shaking her head vigorously.

"Wrong! I am not clumsy".

"Don't get me started on how clumsy you are…", Nancy rolled her eyes at Jada.

"Whatever… so tell me, what about him? Have you guys been alone in the room yet?", Jada asked.

"JADA!!!", Nancy exclaimed, while chuckling. "What is wrong with you? We haven't even…. You know, kissed or hugged yet", Nancy said in a soft tone.

Jada raised her eyebrows and stared directly at her friend.

"I will ignore the fact that your face is all flushed right now and focus on the YET… so you are saying it could happen soon! really!! What did I miss? Have you two been hanging out?", Jada curiously asked while her eyes begged for more information.

Nancy leaned on her table and smiled softly.

"I mean, we went out yesterday and that's it… nothing happened but…",

"But you wished something happen!", Jada said almost yelling out, she laughed and clapped her hands, "Girl! I am so stunned! You really got him in your hands, it is so obvious he wants you too… I mean it is the consistency for me!".

Nancy loved talking about Nolan and how he made her feel but for how long would this end? Would it even start before ending? She knew her heart longs for him so bad but is it the right thing to do? Can she move forward with her feelings or stop it.

These thought kept her up at night.
