While Others Are Increasing Their Rank: I'm Creating A Game

In a world where some people possess extraordinary abilities such as controlling air, manipulating water, or having a superhuman physique, how can an ordinary and average person without such talents survive? In 1982, the world entered a new era as some individuals began exhibiting unusual powers. However, this ability only appears in one out of every thousand humans. Governments worldwide agreed to assign ranks to those who possessed these powers to maintain peace. Some individuals, known as S-ranks, possess exceptional abilities and are considered all-powerful by ordinary people. Despite the presence of these extraordinary beings, peace still prevails in society. Cedric Jacquier, a non-manifested individual, had one dream - to create a game and earn money. However, his dream was shattered when his old computer broke down, along with his three-year game project. Cedric was once again left in despair due to his misfortune. Cedric fainted due to malnutrition and health problems. Strangely, a blue window screen appeared before him. Cedric decided to recreate the game he had lost. This led to the creation of a hyper-realistic game that could transport users to another world. The game was called "Atlas" and it quickly gained popularity, with both ordinary people and enthusiasts eager to purchase the game capsule and experience the alternate reality. Despite assistance from the system, Cedric found that creating the game was still a challenging task. He had to develop a compelling storyline, design characters and NPCs to drive the plot forward. Despite facing many challenges, Cedric's determination and use of the Game Creator System enabled him to develop a game that has attracted over 5 billion players worldwide. It is renowned for its incredible graphics and lifelike quality, as well as its captivating plot and storyline. Prologue 1: "Atlas" The game known as "Atlas" and dubbed "with the title "Another World" was renowned for its hyperrealistic graphics. Both individuals with manifested abilities and regular people were able to enjoy the game. "Well hello there folks, welcome to Tonight's show with me your host. Michael Moore, and for our special guest the one and only! The Creator of Atlas with over 3 billion players worldwide! Mr. Cedric Jacquier!" The crowd cheered, many players who experienced the game Atlas were all excited to finally see the mysterious creator. As the red curtains were drawn, many gasped in awe, particularly the female players and audience. Meanwhile, the male audience felt envious. "Ohh hello there Mr. Jacquier, it's nice to finally meet you!" "The pleasure is mine." Cedric and Michael were seated on the sofa, and Michael's excitement was palpable upon seeing Cedric's arrival. He was also one of the select few players in the game. "Talent, wealth, skills, and a man with good looks. Truly you are blessed in many ways, Mr. Jacquier" "Well, I wouldn't call blessed." "Can I ask Mr. Jacquier? Where did you get the idea of creating Atlas?" "Well Michael, It's a long story. Well, I first created Atlas on my computer, it was a 2d game. Then from one problem rose another." "Oh, what kind of problems were there Mr. Jacquier?" "My computer got damaged, erasing the game from its data." "I see, but there are many news that you manifested is that true Mr. Jacquier?" "Nope, I'm not one of the manifested individuals. I'm just a common man, who created a game." "Then can you tell us how you became one of the richest men in the world?" "Well, Michael...In short, when others were busy trying to increase their ranks, I was busy creating the game." .... Chapter 19: Time To Go Home

After dropping out of college, Cedric was kicked out of the house due to his father.

He didn't hate his father, and Cedric completely understood why his father was angry at him. He dropped out of college since he didn't want the course his parents let him take, that was enough to anger any parents.

Cedric's father was a hardworking man who rarely speaks to him. His mother was a kind woman, she hadn't visited him for three years now.

Cedric never once visited his family, though there was an annual reunion of the whole family. They would always send him invites.

Cedric who came there since he was given an invitation years ago, was humiliated in front of everyone. His cousins from his father's side began to ridicule him.

He also saw his parents there, but they didn't talk to him.

"He must have had an amazing job, old man…"

"He does, he works at a company in New York, we rarely talk though since he has been too busy, but at the end of this month He is planning on visiting me...anyways get back to work.."

With narrowed eyes Looking at Cedric. Cedric went back to work.

….

After a tiring day at work, Cedric came home. He immediately went to the systems room to check on the Beastmen and Hnung. Upon zooming at the beast's camp, there were exactly over 6 huts.

The bonfire was now even bigger, and currently, the others were cooking some meat. But what startled Cedric was the new addition to the family.

[The system has automatically created five new Beastmen]

"So it's already been a month inside the game…"

Cedric glanced at the new creations, they were befriending the others while their stats focused more on their intellect.

But they were also racking up many skills, and even traits. Not only that they were also getting used to the others, and are even helping the others cook.

While the others were conversing.

Dux was beside Lenta. Every time Cedric sees the two it makes him ache, his singleness hurts a lot. The two were getting very close, and Dux was taking care of her diligently.

Not only that the notifications have been ringing many times now.

[Magna has learned to build a hut! +10 Intellect]

[The three Beastmen have felt their parent's love! +1 all stats]

[99+ notifications]

"That's a lot.."

Mostly the notifications consist of the Beastmen learning many skills, and increasing their stats.

It was already nighttime, and Callidus was teaching Hnung who was listening attentively.

Hnung was also racking many skills, and his intellect was almost reaching the same as his strength. Hnung was getting intelligent and learning many skills along the way.

Cedric was thinking that it was time to start Hnung's journey back home, Hnung already learned a lot and was also helping out the others.

Now it was time for Hnung to help his tribe, in which Cedric was now looking at the planet scrolling. He hadn't thought of searching for the Hnung's family, and now he was starting to search for one.

[Hnung get ready, tomorrow it is your time to go home.]

Hnung who received the message nodded his head.

Soon morning came, and Hnung was now wearing skin clothes and had two axes behind his back. He also had knives tucked at the side.

"Hnung..it was nice knowing you.."

Callidus patted Hnung, they have been friends now for a week and got to know each other. Callidus was rather happy about Hnung since he had someone to teach his skills to.

"Thank you so much for everyone's hospitality.. and thank you Callidus, you have taught me a lot.."

"So you're leaving now?"

"Yes..'

Dux smiled and patted Hnung.

"I hope you have a safe journey, and find your tribe. I hope we see each other again Hnung.."

"So do I…I'm sure if fate allows it we can see each other again.."

Hnung waved his hands at everyone, though it was short he had grown close to the Beastmen tribe.

"Bye Hnung!!"

"I hope you have a safe journey!"

"Safe journey!!"

Everyone was waving their hands while shouting goodbye.

"Let's go Hnung.."

"Yes.."

Cedric began to move, and Hnung followed him. They ran through the lush greeneries.

Hnung followed Cedric, he was also excited to see his family and tribe again. As they began to walk inside a forest, Hnung and Cedric began to move.

They moved through the forest and would sometimes drink from rivers and lakes. Cedric was also busy searching for the Ogre tribe.

They were both traveling through the forest. Even the Beastmen Tribe was far away when Cedric checked the map. They have been traveling for 5 hours straight.

They would rest up for a few minutes and continue. After a few minutes of searching Cedric couldn't find any sort of clue as to where the tribe was.

"Let's rest up for now.."

"Yes of course.."

Cedric was busy scrolling through the map, he couldn't find any trace of the ogre tribe at all.

This made him worry that the ogre clan may have already been extinct but since the mission was still there, meaning that there is a chance the ogre clan is still alive but is hiding somewhere.

'Urghhh just where are they??'

Hnung decided to scour the forest a bit, he also put some marks on the trees so he wouldn't get lost. Whilst Hnung scoured the forest, he began walking a bit further. But strangely he glanced at the huge tree.

"Wait haven't I passed this tree before?"

Hnung walked closer to the tree and gave it a small slash, he then decided to continue walking.

But once again, Hnung was back at the tree and now the tree had the mark he had left.

"This is ?"

Knowing that there was something wrong with the forest, Hnung sprinted back to Cedric.

He knew something was wrong, he could feel that the more they moved around the forest it felt as if they have been walking in circles for hours now.

'Uhhhh where are they?'

"Majestic wolf!"

Cedric glanced at Hnung who was having a hard time breathing and wiping the sweat off his forehead.

"What's wrong Hnung?"

"Majestic wolf! We have been walking in circles!"

"What?"

Hnung who managed to get his breathing back decided to explain.

"As you know, we the ogre tribe have been living in a forest. But there are some instances in which the forests produce a magi, that magi is an illusion magi."

"It traps a certain individual inside a never-ending loop, one of my people, our chieftain uses such trickery to fool stronger beings away from our tribe and hide us! I think that we are close to my tribe majestic wolf!"

"This magi can only be made by my tribe!

Cedric who heard the explanation from Hnung glanced at the Map once again.

'Refresh the map..'

[Refreshing the map…]

[The system has detected an anomaly!]

[There seems to be a powerful illusion of magi covering the entire forest]

[The system will refresh the map to show the area without the illusion magi]

[Refreshing.…]

The systems map changed and Hnung was right. The map showed an icon of a cave near the area.

Cedric also noticed on the map that there was a mist covering the entire cave. It seems like the mist was representing the illusion magi.

"Your right Hnung it is close…"

"I knew it!"

"Hnung if this place is covered with Illusion magi then do you know how we can break it? Or maybe find a way to enter the illusion?"

"Well whenever the magi were cast, our chieftain would always tell us a point in where the magi are low, that's where we use as an exit to hunt outside."

"A part of the illusion where the magi are low.."

Cedric glanced at the map, he glanced at the mist covering the area and found that there was a part in the mist where the line was thin. Cedric concluded that this must be where the magi are low.

"I found the area where the magi are low, Follow me Hnung.."

"Yes!"

Hnung followed Cedric and they arrived at the huge tree Hnung had marked.

"Oh, I've been here...I even marked the tree.."

Cedric was confused, if Hnung marked the tree then why was the map pointing it on this side? The tree had a slash mark meaning it was real, then how could he go inside?

"Hmmm…"

"What's wrong Majestic wolf?"

"I'm confused, since you marked this tree it means that this tree is real…But I can feel that this place has the lowest amount of illusion magic.."

"Oh, I think I know…Sometimes our chieftain would create a hyper-realistic object on where the smallest amount of magi is."

"From our original home, our chieftain created a huge boulder to cover our home, it was very real that many predators could even hurt themselves if they run through the boulder…"

"Then what shall we do to get inside?"

"Well there is a certain spell to get inside…our chieftain created it, especially for those who are off to hunt so they can get inside back.."
