Chapter 26 - Taking action

Sometime later, the NPC in front of David died. Well, he is not surprised about this. David became curious about the conversation between his game Avatar and that NPC. Unfortunately, he was unable to hear anything. 

'But, suddenly, why did the game show me those people? Is this a coincidence or not?'

David suddenly became curious about this matter. David did not know if this was real or not. So, he is trying to understand why suddenly the game shows those people approaching the game avatar. 

David doesn't know why, but he begins to feel this cannot be a coincidence. So he should look around the surrounding area. First of all, the game is based on the real world, so naturally, everything he would be able to find around the game avatar would be present in reality. 

Well, this could be a coincidence, but he still decided to search around his surrounding area to see if he could find anything or not. He wanted to see if people were approaching him or not. 

Using the blink technique, he disappeared from his hiding place and went almost 1 km away from his hiding place. If he remembers correctly, then previously those people were coming in the direction from the left side. 

So David also went to that side, but he kept his distance from the place exactly like the same place where he previously saw those people. 

Unfortunately, he did not see anyone or anything in that place. David thought this could be a coincidence. But somehow he is still feeling uncomfortable. So David decided to wait in that place. 

Even though for almost 30 minutes he did not find anyone, he is still feeling uncomfortable and this is the reason he is still staying in the place. He decided that he would wait there for 20 minutes more and after that, if he did not see anything, he would just go back to his base. 

Like that, 18 minutes later, he did not feel anything or see anyone coming to that place. With that, David thought that all of this was a coincidence, and he would not be able to find anyone. 

David was just thinking about going back to his base when suddenly something unexpected happened. Suddenly, he heard some voices. 

That instantly made him alert. Not long after that, he finally noticed a group of 5 warriors. The most surprising thing was that all those 5 warriors have some similarity with those NPC that he just killed some time ago.

"Sigh, we are very unfortunate. We already found an almost 15 km area but did not find any good targets. Every one of those people has a big team. Sigh, we are not lucky."

"Sigh, you are right. Nowadays, it is very rare for you to find a small group of people. Any group will have at least five warriors with them. Those people who did not get selected by any team didn't dare to come this deep inside the danger zone on their own."

"Should we retreat and go back to those places where we would find those Pre mortal-grade monsters? I think for now that would be the best place for us. At least in the place even if we found a group of warriors, we would be more powerful than them."

"I am also thinking the same thing. Really, we should go back to that place."

Those five people are currently discussing with each other that they did not find any suitable target. They covered a 15 km area but did not find any suitable target. They did not dare to advance more than that, as that would be very risky. 

Unfortunately, nowadays, even a small team will have 5 warriors in it. Because of this, those five people previously did not find a group to attack. 

Unknown to them, one more person also heard their explanation. Well, every one of those people is also a level 11 warrior. Naturally, they are very far away from reaching the limit of level 11. It is just that warriors among them have observation techniques. 

With the help of those techniques, they are searching for suitable targets. Unfortunately, none of them know how long it will take to find a suitable target. 

Well, with this, five people begin to approach David's base. Naturally, David all the time maintains a distance from those warriors and, because of this, until now, none of them have been able to find him. 

Even though David did not know the observation range of those people, he maintained an almost 500 m distance from those people. 

Suddenly, he can see those 5 people stop moving and instantly become alert. This thing made David quite curious as he thought those people sensed something. Even though those people sense monsters or another group of warriors. 

Unfortunately, this is not the main reason for those people to stop moving. Those people who had the observation techniques instantly told everyone to stop. Both of them, using the observation technique, can sense David's base. 

If you are wondering how they can tell that, then it is because, when David decided to rest in that place, he lit a fire outside his resting place. Also, if you look carefully, then you can see the footprint of David. 

There could be a chance those two people noticed all of this. This is the matter. Those two people find those footprints and, alongside, they also find David's base. 

Both of them begin to go toward that place. Their teammates followed them curiously. First of all, those two people did not signal to their teammates that they could sense a warrior's group or anything like that. 

Seeing their expressions, anybody can tell they most likely found something. Not long after that, even those people realized what their two companions were able to find.  

In front of them, they can see a footprint that belongs to David. They could follow that footprint and sometime later they got in front of that place where David was resting sometime ago. You can still see the fire outside the base. 

"Did both of you find any clue about that person? Also, what do you think? How many people were there?"

"Unfortunately, we were not able to find any trace of anyone. Also, by looking at the details around this place, I can tell only one person was present there. 

There could be a chance he will get attacked by monsters and get killed. There could be a chance that the person has already retreated from this place. But if you look around carefully, then you can say it wasn't long since that person left this place."

After observing the whole area, both people said all of this to their teammates. Hearing that those three remaining warriors did not become curious. They were aware of their team's abilities. 

The main question is, should they try to search for that person? 

"Boss, I should take this chance. With Anant and Vuria we would be able to find that person. There could be a chance that that person also has observation techniques and the moment he senses us, he runs away."

"Hmm… you are right."

With this, every one of them decides that they will try to search for that person. But none of them realized that David was watching them from the start. 

Even though he was unable to hear all the conversations of the people, one thing he understood was that those people wanted to search for him. They thought he ran away from that place the moment he sensed them. 

Well, at first David decided not to take action against those people and let them go. But after he got to understand those people still wanted to search for him, he decided to take action. 

Using the blinks technique, he instantly came behind those two people who could use the water ball techniques. Without giving them any time to do anything, he instantly attacks them using the fire bullet technique. 

Both warriors did not even get the time to do anything. In just a second, David appears behind them and attacks them like this. 

"Ahhh!!!!!!!"

Both the warriors instantly feel pain behind their backs. The pain was so great that it became unbearable. Not only that, but both people went flying because of the impact of those bullets. 

Before they landed on the ground, you can already see both of them caught on fire. Those remaining three people finally get the chance to understand what is happening, and they also see a new face present in that place. 

Instantly, they are just about to attack that person, but David once again disappears from that place using the blink technique. Both of those people with observation techniques were just about to use their observation techniques to find out David's location. 

But before they can do that, unexpectedly, David appears in front of them and, without giving them any time, he once again attacks them. This time he used the fire breath technique.
