Taste

Diana looked around the shop looking for grey suits with white undershirt. She grabbed it and gave it to Lucas for him to try on in the fitting room. While waiting, she kept looking for other suits.

She found another one she liked but as she was taking it off from the display, another hand hurriedly grabbed it. When she looked at the hand's owner, she was surprised to see Beatrice, Chantal's friend.

"Mine." Beatrice harshly said.

Diana was confused as to Beatrice's attitude.

"Okay. Have it then." Diana conceded, moving on to look at other suits. When she was about to grab another one, Beatrice hurriedly took it as well.

"I got it first." Beatrice raised an eyebrow, challenging her to react.

Diana shook her head.

"Here. Try this on, Troy. I'm sure you'll look gorgeous. I don't even know why some people are coming here. This is clearly for men's suits." Beatrice's voice was loud enough for her to hear.

"Huh? Of course it's for men's suits. What are you on about?" Troy sounded confused.

Beatrice pinched Troy's arm.

"Ow! What's up with you?!" Troy exclaimed.

Beatrice silenced him with a look. She then signalled for Troy to look to the side, towards where Diana stood.

Troy's mouth gaped open in understanding. "I see."

Beatrice giggled. "Hurry up and try it on. I want to see."

"Alright. Alright." Passing by Diana he mocked her. "Long time no see Diana. Why are you here by yourself? Are you here to buy for your dad or grandpa?"

As Henry's best friend, he has always disliked Diana. He thought that Diana is too stuck-up and cold. She dated his best friend for 2 years but she never allowed too much intimacy. As a man, he knows how hard it must have been to keep holding back. Admittedly, Diana is beautiful, smart and popular that time, which is why he encouraged Henry to go after her. He even helped Henry think of various ideas to woo her. He never thought that once she said yes, his best friend will have to suppress his urges. But when Chantal came, she was more attentive, and more considerate with his urges. His best friend found confidence as a man. Also, she was the more favored twin. Henry won't lose out if he chooses Chantal.

Diana ignored, still looking at suits. She could hear Troy's mocking voice on the side. This person was the one who helped Henry and her get together. And this was the same person who also introduced Chantal to Henry and helped him hide the affair from her.

Getting no reaction from Diana, Troy huffed and went inside the fitting room.

Meanwhile, Beatrice just kept grabbing suit after suit, especially the ones Diana was about to get.

Annoyed, Diana went to a sales associate and motioned for her to assist Beatrice. This gave Diana an opportunity to go around and choose peacefully. She asked another sales associate to hand out the suits she chose to Lucas.

Knocking on the door of a fitting room, "Sir, the Miss wanted me to give you these." the girl said.

Lucas opened it slightly and took it from her hands.

He tried everything on and like whatever Diana chose.

"How is it?" Beatrice asked Troy outside of the fitting room.

"Eh.. This is not really the ones I usually get and the shoulder part is too big for me. It's not my size. The color is too dull too" Troy commented.

Beatrice smirked in Diana's direction. Those suits were the ones she wanted to grab. It turns out she has bad taste.

She took another suit. But just when she was about to give it to Troy, Lucas came out of the fitting room. She turned towards the sales associate and pointed at Lucas's direction.

"That one. The one he's wearing, can I have the same?" The man looked too dashing in what he's wearing.

"I'm sorry miss, but we don't have a similar one available here." The sales associate said.

Thinking that the man didn't buy the suit in that shop, she nodded. "Hmm.. Do you have something almost close to that design? Also, can I have one that is a size smaller than this?" Beatrice showed her a suit that she was about to give Troy.

The other nodded. She took it from one of the racks and handed it to Beatrice.

Lucas on the other hand already paid for the suits he tried on earlier.

His gaze roamed around the room, looking for Diana.

At that moment, Troy came out wearing the same-looking suit. "This one. We'll take this."

Beatrice was excited. Troy looked handsome. Albeit not as dashing as the man earlier, but still handsome.

"Okay. We'll buy that one." She told the associate.

"Alright. If you can follow me Miss." The associate led Beatrice to the cashier.

"You found something else?" Lucas asked Diana when he found her looking at the suits thoughtfully. She was in the farthest corner of the room, hidden by other's view.

Diana shook her head. "No, I was only looking around. Did you like the suits I chose or are we still looking?"

"I like all of it. They are packing it up now. Shall we go?" Lucas queried.

Diana nodded, following Lucas to the cashier.

There, they saw Beatrice and Troy, complaining at the Cashier. They just saw the price of the suit and couldn't believe it's that expensive.

Troy and Beatrice came from a rich family but even so, they think that the suit is way too expensive.

But when Beatrice saw Diana approaching, she stopped Troy from saying anything more and just handed out her credit card to the woman. "Here, we'll take this one. And I need a receipt just in case it has a tear."

Diana was amused inside. She knows the prices of the clothes in the shop. It was indeed quite expensive. But since Lucas told her that he usually gets his suits here and to not worry about the price, she obediently handed him the suits that will be appropriate for the occasion.

"So, Diana. Did you buy any? Or are you just looking around? This is not a place for window shopping you know." Beatrice taunted.

"Thanks for the reminder. Don't worry. We have it settled already." Diana dismissed.

Beatrice scoffed. Seeing the man together with Diana, she was reminded of the man from Chantal's party.

Instantly, her opinion of him became low.

"Ehh.. Troy. Look at that. That's the guy Diana paid to act as her boyfriend back at Chantal's party!" Beatrice loudly announced.

The sales associates turned their attention to the voice. They looked confused.

Beatrice saw that all eyes were on them. It was a good opportunity to shame Diana.
