Revelation

At the Winchester Family's mansion, Osmond was in the living room reading a newspaper while also having the television on for news.

Vanessa was on a loveseat across from him, reading a magazine.

They were quietly doing their own thing when the news about the case involving Diana popped up on screen.

Osmond's ears caught the piece of news and he set down his newspaper, now paying attention to what was being said.

Vanessa also heard this and started to listen.

Their eyes were wide with shock. They were not aware that Diana was involved in a case like this. She never made mention of it.

Nevertheless, it looked like the situation had been settled and the decision was favorable to Diana.

However, this doesn't change the fact that the Winchester Family name got involved.

At this, Osmond immediately called Diana.

"Come to the house." His voice was stern, not letting her reject.

Without waiting for a reply, Osmond hung up.

It was a Saturday so Diana was off from work. She was reluctant to go to the house but seeing that she doesn't have much of a choice. She just left the apartment and went to the Winchester Family's mansion.

As soon as Diana entered the mansion, she could sense that something was off.

She never really felt welcome in this mansion but for some reason, today's visit made her feel like entering a stranger's house.

As if she never even lived here.

The servants were also ignoring her. Not even a little respect shown. They have heard about what happened at the Carlton's mansion. It turns out that this person should not be called their mistress in the first place.

Before she came inside the living room, she overheard her parents' conversation.

Since her presence wasn't announced by the servants, Osmond and Vanessa didn't know that Diana had already arrived.

"That child has become a thorn in our family Osmond." Vanessa said distastefully. "Chantal's wedding is getting near. She has successfully shifted the focus to her issues. Now, when we meet people, they'll be asking about what happened to her instead of focusing on Chantal's happy news."

"The verdict was in favor of her anyway. I'm sure it's not going to be a big deal."

"Not a big deal! You know what. You are really making me feel suspicious of you now."

"What? What on earth are you on about now?"

"Tell me. You are still hiding something from me, am I right?"

Osmond was quiet.

"I swear, Osmond! If you lied to me again, I swear---" Vanessa threatened.

At this, Chantal who was also in the mansion saw Diana outside the living room.

She smirked.

"Sister. Oh wait.. No, not sister. Looks like your presence here is no longer welcome." Chantal said menacingly.

Diana was confused at her words. She looked at Chantal questioningly.

"It turns out, you are not my twin after all. You are merely a replacement. You were abandoned when you were a baby and our family took you in, as a replacement for my real twin who died when mom was giving birth. How lucky you are to be picked up by a prestigious family like ours instead of becoming left for dead on the streets. The least you could do for the family who raised you, is to not be a stain in our reputation." Chantal's words were venomous.

Diana could not understand whether this a cruel prank or not.

Abandoned? Her? Replacement? What's going on?

Her mind swirled in confusion and without thinking about it, she opened the door to the living room, the parents were shocked.

"Is it true? I am not your real daughter?" Diana's eyes were red, welling up with tears.

Vanessa was at a loss of words. This is not how she envisioned to reveal Diana's identity. She didn't think she even needed to reveal it.

But now the truth is out.

"Yes Diana. I'm not your biological mother." Vanessa said.

On the side of the door, Chantal leaned, witnessing the scene.

Osmond took a long breath.

"No, Diana. You are my daughter."

Vanessa's head whipped in his direction, it almost snapped. 'WHATTTT?!!!'

"She is my biological daughter."

"No! How can that be?!"

"Her mother was someone from my past, before you and I got married. She was pregnant at the same time as you. She is from an unknown background, so I took the baby in to give her a good life. I've never had any communication with that woman ever since." Osmond explained.

Vanessa collapsed on the loveseat when she heard this.

"Who?" Her voice becoming faint, she felt her strength flow out of her body.

"It's nobody. Just somebody from the past."

"Who?"

"She was a newcomer actress. Just someone I had fun with when I was young. I only know of her screen name, Rose."

Diana was shocked. The sudden revelation was still not sinking in.

"Did she give me up?"

"Yes." Osmond said.

Diana nodded. Her heart was torn in pieces.

When they revealed that she was not the biological daughter, she was holding on to hope that maybe someone out there is actually searching for her.

But her hopes were dashed at Osmond's single word.

On the side, Chantal didn't expect that Diana is technically still her biological sister. She thought she'll be able to get rid of her for good.

She didn't expect that it turns out, Osmond is still Diana's father.

'Well, that's disappointing. I still have to acknowledge her as my sister then. Tsk.'

'I can't believe dad would cheat on mom.'

This piece of truth had changed her view on her father. She thought he was a loyal husband to his wife. But as it turns out, he even got someone else pregnant and at the same time as her.

'How could he be intimate with mom and at the same time with another woman! What if the woman had a disease! Then she would have gotten infected with it as well! while she was inside.'

'Why did dad had to bring her? Couldn't he just sign off a check to Diana's mom and be done with it?'

'He just risked his own marriage by making this lie.'

Chantal was disappointed at her dad.

'For impregnating another woman at the same time as mom. For cheating on mom in the first place!'
