“The nurses told me..”
“Ah.. no problem..” He chuckled.

“So, how do you like teaching in Rising Phoenix so far?” He asked casually.
Only then Katherine lifted her head.
“It was good, Sir. Thank you for recommending me.”
“Sir? So formal.. Call me by my name from now on.”
“Umm.. but you’re my boss.”
“I’m also your friend’s soon to be brother-in-law..”
“Still..” She thought that it was not appropriate. She would even still call Lucas using honorifics and he was the one in a relationship with her friend.
“I heard there’s an event coming up..”
“...” She wondered at which event he was talking about whether it concerns the Institute or the Rising Phoenix, or some other event.
“The top martial arts schools will gather and showcase their students’ and teachers’ abilities.”
“A tournament?”
“Not exactly. It’s sort of. But it’s mainly for them to recruit talents. They will compete at a separate event.”
