Crocodile Tears
Morris froze as he listened to his grandmother’s words. Old Madam didn’t know about the engagement getting called off yet. He has been so busy lately that he hasn’t found the time to tell them. He didn’t expect for Tuesday Palmer to show up at his family’s residence.
“Grandma.. I’m still at work.” He said, wondering how he is going to tell his grandmother.
‘Do I just say it straight?’
“Oh? Well then, I wonder what brought her here.. Do you know?”
He breathed a sigh.
“I don’t know grandma. Also, we’re not together anymore. I was finding time to let you know.”
Lillian was startled at his son’s revelation. But seeing that the woman involved is already in front of her, she didn’t say more.
“Alright then. I’ll see you later.” She told him. She wanted him to make things clear personally.
“Yes. Grandma. I’ll come over later.” He said.
She then ended the call, her face not revealing anything to the woman in front.
