Some strange things started happening to the supercats who were experimenting with the cat corpse.
First, they had auditory hallucinations. Some of the cats started hearing strange mutters in their sleep in the dead of the night.
As time passed, the mutters became louder and clearer, such that they could even hear it in broad daylight when they were wide awake.
