Chapter 18: Coffee Shop Meet Up.

After school. Jonas and I make our way toward the coffee shop where we usually buy our coffee. The Soul Coffee and Toast.

"So, who is this girl you're meeting up?"

"She's a friend of a friend."

"Really? That's good to know. At least it's not a stranger. But are this friend of yours fine with his friend with you?"

"I mean, my friend is a girl. And she's the one who introduce me to her."

I see... It's a bit better then... I'm honestly excited to see how Jonas do it.

We reach the spot and immediately order our food and drinks... And then, I see a group of girls. To be exact, a group of four... Not a single one of them I recognize... All of them are a complete stranger... But Jonas know them. He recognize them the moment he saw them.

And a particular girl, notices Jonas. And she calls the rest and pointed at him... That particular girl seems to be Jonas's Friend. One girl, who's blushing when she sees Jonas, walk toward him. While the other three goes to the counter to order their food and drink.

Of course the two of them started talking like no one's problem... While I play with my phone and inform Alya that I will be late. I stated the reason and she just laugh and said 'Ok'.

I don't really mind being ignored like this. That just mean that I can just focus on their conversation and leave if it has gotten too deep. And no one could complain!

I continue to drink my coffee and eat my toast with no one consent... And the rest of the girls comes and sit down around Jonas and the girl. Completely ignoring me.

"Oh right! I was too into the conversation that I forgot to introduce him! This is Matthias! He's a very good friend of mine from school."

"Nice to meet you!"

The girl greeted me. But the others didn't. In fact, they look at me weirdly... Of course, feeling threatened, I immediately stare at them back with a cold look. Like 'Stop staring at me like that.'

Generally, I'm not a rude person. But I do know if someone looking at me with disrespect. And I don't like getting disrespected. So when that happened, I tend to be very rude and violent. Like a normal person should.

But I don't show too much aggression. They just stare at me like that, so I reply with stare back... I won't get physical. Especially with girls. If it was a man, I might. Anyway... I decided to turn to them and greet them nicely to make them think that I'm a good guy.

"I'm Matthias. I'm here for Jonas's Emotional Support."

"Emotional Support? Is it really necessary for you to say that, Matt?"

"It is necessary. Anyway, don't mind me. I'm just here for emotional support."

I fiddle with my phone again and of course, they all do just that... They ignore me. As time goes on. They get even louder and jollier... Which makes me feel bad...

I just want to go home, but if I did, Jonas would be very overwhelmed due to the number difference. He can feel this comfortable with them because I'm here. But if I go back, he wouldn't feel good talking with four girls on which two of them he's familiar and two other is not so much...

Of course... Just as I feel like I want to go home... I feel slender fingers enveloping my eyes and covering it. And on the back of my head, I feel a very soft, pillow like feeling.

"Guess Who?"

This feeling, this tone of voice... It's my ray of sunshine in life.

"Alya?"

"Correct~"

She sit down next to me. But I immediately take it on myself to tell Jonas.

"Jonas, I'm going to go on a date now. You can handle it by yourself right?"

"Eh? Aah! Sure! Take your time! Thanks for accompanying me!"

The reason why he would feel bad when I leave is of course, he would feel the pressure of me leaving. Because he will be thinking 'Oh shoot, because of me, he leaves! What if his attitude change?!' For sure.

Thanks to Alya though, I can make him erase that thought process...

Alya take my hand and leave the building... Of course... I grip her hand really tight in slight embarrassment.

"I managed to came in time, right?"

"Un... Thanks to you, I can leave without making Jonas feels bad."

"I know you would need my help when I see your message. And fortunately, when I came there, it is as I expected. And also... Date right?"

"Yes... I will go wherever you want to go, Alya. So, you can say where you want to go."

"Then~ Let's go finish my race change! I want to become a demon queen already!"

"As you say, My queen."

I joke around with that. And Alya seems to like it because she immediately hug my arm tightly.

"Thank you, My king."

It's so sweet... I feel weak when I'm with Alya. Not like, physically weak, but mentally weak. I love her so much that I can't do anything when it's about her.

With that, we go back home... Of course... I meet Ran and her friends. And they all greeted us. It seems like Ran's friends really thought that Alya is our big sister... Alya notices that and immediately hold my hand tightly.

So... That's fun... She's asserting dominance and I don't hate it...

We go to our room and immediately login to NWO...

"I'm back so soon."

I was thinking of taking a bit of rest for the day after that strategizing. But hey, Belian wants me to help her, so I will. It would be nice if she can evolve so that she can help me later on with my race change.

"Alright. I'm ready to go. Now to wait for Belian."

I waited... And of course, eventually, she comes.

"Sorry~ I had to read the notice in the system."

"Hm? Is something wrong with the game?"

"No, there's nothing wrong. It's just that there's going to be an event running around soon."

"Hoo? What kind of Event is it? And what's the reward?"

"It's PVP event. It seems like all player can join the event. And the one with the highest point will win the entire event. The reward is big too."

"I see.."

This is a good time for us to go ham on leveling up. But first thing first...

"Let's go to your spot shall we?"

"Okay~ I will lead the way! Follow me!"

She uses her flame to leap toward her destination. And I use my wind to follow suit... Shade of the Demon Queen, We will conquer you today. No matter how long it will take.
