First meeting

FLASHBACK- 7 YEARS BACK- FIRST MEETING

7 years back he went to Country Y on a business trip.

After winding up a long meeting he was on his way back to his hotel. It was raining on and off throughout the day but it started pouring when he was halfway through.

While waiting for the Traffic light he noticed a coffeehouse in the street's corner and stopped by for a cup of hot coffee.

Rain and a cup of hot coffee- a perfect combination.

He picked his laptop bag and headed inside the coffeehouse. 

It was a small but neat and clean coffee house with minimalist decoration, the antique furniture gave it a retro vibe. Under the huge canopy outside the coffeehouse chairs and tables were arranged.

He didn't sit down under the canopy to enjoy the weather. A moment later a teenage girl, not over 15-16-year-old came to him, "Sir, your order please!"

Without looking at her he gave his order, "One cappuccino with no sugar".

"Is there anything else I can get you with your coffee? Our orange muffins are handmade daily."

He heard the enthusiasm in her voice, but rudely replied, "Just a cup of coffee".

"Ok, sir! Just give me 5 minutes", she said politely and went inside to make his coffee.

At that time his father called, telling him to check his email for the details of the project in country Y.

He opened his laptop to check the details and started working on some figures. But his computer started creating problems and crashed suddenly.

It annoyed him, the files he created this week was important, and he had not created a backup. He tapped roughly on the laptop to restart it, turned it upside down, took out the battery and put it back, pressed the restart button umpteenth time.... He tried everything but it didn't budge.

"Damn! You stupid laptop", He cursed loudly.

"Sir your coffee", she placed the coffee cup in front of him. But his mood was already spoiled, and he lost interest in the cup of coffee, "I don't want it. Take it back."

He got up, take out his purse and put a 100 dollar note on the table and turned to leave.

 "Wait, sir!"

He halted in his steps but didn't turn back.

"We charge for coffee. Since you didn't drink it, I won't accept your free money. Please take it back."

Enraged by her self-righteousness he turned back, stride towards her and threw the coffee along with the cup, "Consider I drank it".

"I thought you are a nobleman, but it turned out to be a wild unruly man in the disguise." 

"What did you say? I dare you to say it again." He said gritting his teeth.

Fuming with anger she replied, "I said you are a wild unruly man in the disguise of a nobleman. Just because you cannot fix your laptop, who gave you the right to treat me like this?"

"Really? You dare to say that? Then how about you fix my laptop?", He mocked her.

He sat down on a chair and crossed his legs, "Since you dare to provoke me, I won't be polite to you". Pushing the laptop towards her he said, "Here's the deal! I will give you 15 minutes and if you can fix my laptop in the given time, then I will order one more coffee and drink it. But if you can't, then tomorrow I will get this place demolished."

His statement horrified her, "You dare demolish this place".

"He smirked, "Try me!"

She stood there in silence and doesn't move.

"Your time has already started, and a minute has already passed", He warned her.

She nonchalantly sat down on the chair opposite him, pulling the laptop towards her. Her tapping speed made it impossible to notice what she was doing."

After 6 minutes, she turned back the laptop towards him.

He was surprised and looked at the watch, 'Only 6 minutes?' He checked the laptop carefully, 'Holly shit! How did she do it? Even my best IT expert could not fix it and she did it in less than 10 minutes.'

She got up from her seat and mocked him, "Sir, would you like to have the same coffee or should I add sugar this time?"

Hearing her mock him he should be angry, but she piqued his interest. He looked at her intricately, "How old Are You? Are you a computer expert? What's your name?"

"Sorry, sir! No personal questions! Since I fulfilled your deal I hope you will keep your promise and wouldn't demolish this place, right?" She was just a waitress there and doesn't want to put the owners in any kind of trouble.

"Hm! I will keep my promise. Same coffee for me", He said calmly.

"5 minutes!", She went back inside the coffeehouse.

He saw her departing figure and thought inwardly, 'My laptop is no ordinary laptop, it's the most advanced laptop available in the market, then how can this little girl fix it'.
