Dark Blood Revival

Five minutes passed by with Damia facing Kokakola with the aid of the healers and damage dealers at her back. Kokakola was on the defensive this entire time because his skills were always interrupted before it was casted.

Mays didn't join the fight for now since there was no need for him to do so. Damia had high defense and resistance which was on par with Ria herself, making her the perfect meat shield at Mays's disposal. Her attack power was insanely low though.

These few minutes, Mays observed Kokakola's every move attentively. From that, he noticed several peculiars about Kokakola. This boss could use skills without verbal chant but the skill's power was reduced considerably. This boss also could use whatever skill he wanted without the need to fulfil the condition beforehand.

He still couldn't use his ultimate skill more than one time though, or at least that was how it seemed for now considering that he still didn't summon another Dark Demon Spawn even after being pushed this far.

At the other battlefront, Ria was facing off the Dark Demon Spawn with everything she got. With the help of two healer by her side, she could fend off most of her opponent attack without any life threatening danger. Her high defense and resistance proved to be useful in situation like this where she need to hold off her opponent.

"DON'T PUSH YOUR LUCK HUMAAAAAAAAAAAAN!!!"

Once again, Kokakola used [Dark Repel] and sent Damia flying a few meters away. This time, his face was beyond crooked. Blood veins popped out all over his face. Anyone who saw his face right now would be able to tell how angry this person currently was.

"DARK BLOOD REVIVAL!!"

Accompanying the loud shout from Kokakola was an extreme tremor all over the area. Gush of wind appeared out of nowhere, producing twisters in several location around the battlefield. Both battlefront came to a halt when the small shaking turned into heavy earthquakes.

"Roaaaaa! Rooooooooooaaaaaa!! ROooooooAAaaaaaa!!"

From the very depth of earth itself, cries of agony echoed nonstop. The land started splitting apart and from within the earth, black figures kept coming out one after another. Mays who stood not too far from Kokakola was stunned by this sudden change of event. Ria was also the same. They were both shocked senseless by what just transpired before them.

"This… this… This is madness!"

The always calm and collected Mays stuttered as he tried hard to process what he was seeing right now. This was something way more shocking than whatever Kokakola did previously. In fact, this was something that even Mays never thought of.

"Mays… Is this for real?"

Ria's question brought Mays back to reality. Ria ran back toward Mays after this spectacular event unfolded just to ask him about it. As more and more black figure crept out from the cracks between the fissures, Mays examined them thoroughly.

"As heaven defying as it might seems… Those are real Black Vampyr. I'm starting to think that going to Demon Continent is a bad idea."

"This is so unlike you to be a pessimist. It's not like there are three insane boss or anything right? It's just some lame Black Vampyr."

Toward Mays heartfelt remark, Ria refuted with a sarcastic tone. The man she fell for was not some weakling who turned tail against some weak opponents.

"Heh damn right."

[Dark Blood Revival] was a skill to revive every dead allies in the vicinity and turned them into Black Vampyr. These Black Vampyr was not strong but they were a great meat shield. Their vitality was top notch. And with hundreds of them in the area, there was no way Mays could easily kill Kokakola without wiping them out first.

Just the [Dark Blood Revival] skill alone was not enough to shock Mays. What truly shocked Mays was the fact that Kokakola could use a skill which was not his own, a skill totally belonged to somebody else. The [Dark Blood Revival] was a skill used by an event boss, the Vampire Ancestor.

The fact that Kokakola could use that skill made the existence called Insane Boss a truly terrifying existence in the current world they lived in. These insane bosses were already almighty the way they were yet now they turned into something players couldn't hope to fight without putting their life at stake.

Mays stared at the group of Black Vampyr who started organizing themselves. Both Kokakola and the Dark Demon Spawn stood not too far from them, observing them as they rose into beings. Mays, Ria and the rest of their spirits were also gathered together, preparing for their next round of fight.

"Kill them all!"

One simple command and all the Black Vampyr turned frenzy as they rushed toward Mays and the rest. Their eyes were bloodshot, filled with killing intent. As for Kokakola himself, he stood where he was previously without any intention of joining the fight.

"Gah, can't be helped. Destroy them!"

"Hehe, gladly."

Obviously Mays would retaliate when someone already draw their blade against him. He commanded the spirits to kill all the Black Vampyr. A melee battle erupted as both side had no plan nor strategy in mind.

"Flame Pillar! Flame Pillar! Hahaha Mira loves chaotic battle like this the most!"

"Focus on your fight damn midget!"

"That's just like her though, saying anything she had in mind."

"…"

Observing them from the side was Ria's group of spirits. They were quite shocked at the conversation between those spirits. Most spirits with random personalities acted like robots which barely conversed to each other. These spirits of Mays were clearly different to them in that aspect.

"Those spirits…"

"They are always like that. Let them be and just focus on our task."

"Okay."

Alicia was about to say something but Minerva cut her line in between. Thinking rationally, what Minerva said was correct hence they dropped the matters entirely and started focusing on the fight at hand.

-----------------------------------------------

Time passed as more and more Black Vampyr fell again into the underworld. Mays and Ria was at the very front of the battle field, killing their enemies one after another. They were beyond savages. Tearing their opponent's apart and slashing down every enemy which stood in front of them.

"Huh, huh. This is tiring."

"Eh already? Ain't you the one who talks big earlier?"

"Uhh… that is different. I can fight multiple bosses all right but a lot of these things are effort."

"Heh, reasons."

Mays smirked as he continued his killing spree. It would be a lie to say that he was not tired after all the killing but he was in way better state compared to Ria. They had been killing these Black Vampyr for almost two hour.

Even someone like Ria never fight continuously for that long. This was in fact her first time being in a battle where she couldn't stop and rest. Mays also never fought continuously that long but the strain he felt was not much. His daily training proved to be useful at time like this.

Kokakola was observing not to far away from them. At the moment, he had perfectly recovered. There was no more visible injuries on him. He used the time when Mays and the rest were busy to absorb the Dark Demon Spawn and regenerated back to perfect condition.

That was his skill even back in HeavensTale. Normally player would try hard to prevent him from doing so but it was impossible for the current Mays and his party. There was no way they could do that when they were surrounded by hundreds of Black Vampyr who attacked them nonstop.

"Well, at least, we managed to force Kokakola to use his demon spawn already. Just clear up these vampyrs and we can kill him soon enough."

"Yeah! Let's finish this fast."

Ria's eyes flared at the mention of killing Kokakola. She was so fed up in this fight. She wanted a good fight against a boss not an endless killing of summoned mob. These summoned mob were also quite tough and hard to kill, making it an annoying opponent.

"Sonic Slash! Fuh, that's the last one."

Mays let out a relieved sigh after he cut down the last Black Vampyr. This fight was really taxing for his party. Even the spirit looks tired and weary.

"I'll drag that boss here. Wait for me."

"Haha go for it."

With a cheerful tone, Ria rushed toward Kokakola with a big smile on her face. They had just killed all the Black Vampyr summoned by Kokakola, leaving him as the only opponents left. However, both Mays and Ria had no idea that everything had been proceeding as planned by Kokakola, even the part where those vampyr were killed.

Even before Ria reached Kokakola, she saw an evil smile on his face. That very moment, she knew that something was wrong.

"Dark Blood Revival!"

A simple line uttered with a low tone. The impact, on the other hand, was way too great.

Ria who was rushing toward Kokakola stopped midway. Mays who was quite a distance away from them stood there speechless. Once again, Kokakola used the grand skill which were not even his, the [Dark Blood Revival] to summon hundreds of Black Vampyr again.

"Im… impossible."

As if the fatigued which accumulated in her body reached its maximum, Ria kneeled as she muttered in disbelief.

"Ria, calm down."

Mays's voice resounded not too far from Ria. He was not as affected at all. After Kokakola used this skill once, he already predicted the probability for him to use it again. That's why Mays kept his cool after Kokakola did summoned the Black Vampyr again.

Ria took a deep breath and observed her surroundings. With Mays at her side and trustworthy spirits behind them, there was no reason for her to feel depressed nor shocked at all. The boss just used the same skill again, nothing too overwhelming for her to fuss over.

"Sorry, I lost myself for a bit."

"And where is the girl who dissed these vampyr earlier? Surely you can still handle hundreds of them right?"

"Tch fine, I can't. Satisfied?"

Ria clicked her tongue as she pouted. A headstrong girl like her hated it when she was teased in the open, more so when the spirits were watching.

"Hehe don't be mad at me, I'm just joking. Even for someone like me, fighting nonstop for hours is very taxing."

"Oh really? And I thought you can fight for days without feeling tired."

This time, it was Ria who replied in a sarcastic tone. It was apparent that she was still mad.

"Okay, sorry. I won't say anything about this anymore."

Mays apologized as he gently strokes Ria's hair. This sulking girl in front of him was just too cute. If only he was not in a battlefield right now, he might drag her into a room right away. But whether they would go all the way or not was something else entirely.

At the moment, Kokakola was still in the middle of organizing these newly summoned Black Vampyr. Both side was still on standby as they were not in a rush to start another clash.

"Ria, want to finish this using shortcut?"

"There is a shortcut? Since its coming from you, it must be one of your crazy idea. Just tell me the success rate of it."

Ria asked in disbelief when she heard Mays suggestion. She then added before Mays replied to her.

"If it was others I think it will be below fifty percent's but since i'm with you then it's over eighty percent hehe."

As if it became a habit, Mays smirked most of the time when he replied to Ria.

"If you say so. And, how do we proceed now?"

"Hehe easy, hand me one Magic Master Trinket, I know you have plenty. And a Great Corporeal Coin if you have some."

"What do you plan to do with ooooooOOOOOO I GET ITTT!"

Ria unintentionally shouted after she figured out what Mays's plan was. It was actually something so simple. She couldn't be blamed for not remembering this though considering how long she had spent living here in this world.

---------------------------------------------

In most MMORPG, there were chances for trophies to drop whenever players succeeded in killing the boss inside a dungeon instance. These trophies came in different shape and type but they always had one similar effect which was to boost the stat of the bearer. Most MMORPG limits the use of trophies per character though.

Obviously, HeavensTale also had the same function. With slot limits of two trophies equipped per player, these trophies boosted the players greatly in whichever stat they needed. They need to hunt for the specific trophies though considering they have fixed stat boost.

More importantly, there was an additional function aside from those stat boost for level hundred trophies. Nobody ever argued if this was a fact or just rumours but not few people had heard of it for sure. The fact that the level hundred trophies were consumable.

Obviously, nobody ever tried to prove that fact. These trophies were after all consumables only for hidden class players, not for everyone. And of course, each trophies had their own effects when they were used respectively. They had one thing in common though, the buff from these consumable trophies only lasted for one minute.

"Ria, go now! Everyone else, rush together with Ria and focus fire on Kokakola!"

"Yes sir!"

Mays's eyes revealed a determined look. With both trophies tightly gripped in his right fist, he crushed both of them without any second thought.

"Magic Master Trinket, Great Corporeal Coin, activate!"

There were no great world shaking effect when Mays used both trophies. There was not even a slight change on Mays, making those present wondered if the destroyed item really had any effect or not. Magic Master Trinket effect was to nullify skill's cool down, casting range and casting time while Great Corporeal Coin removed skill's mana cost.

Mays who crushed both trophies grinned as he rushed forward alongside the rest of their party. His right hand was shoved upward, as if trying to drag something down from the dark sky.

"Go! Kill them all!"

Despite having an army of Black Vampyr, Kokakola was still unsure of his victory in this fight. Upon seeing how Mays and the rest were rushing toward him with haste, he waste no time in commanding the Black Vampyr to retaliate.

Ria was the one closest to the horde of Black Vampyr. As she rushed forward, her sight was dead set on Kokakola, ignoring all the vampyrs in front of her. She never planned on facing them again right now. As per ordered by Mays, her only focus of this fight was just Kokakola and him alone.

Just when Ria was several steps away from the first Black Vampyr, she didn't even slowed down. It was then when she heard Mays shouted from behind.

"Infernal Summon!"

With the night sky already at the darkest, additional space rift on the sky would not be that visible to any observing eyes. The most notable changes was without doubt the sudden rise of temperature added by bright flaming object crushing down from the space rift. The targets of that meteor was without a doubt the closest Black Vampyr as calculated by Mays prior to the invocation of his skill.

"Infernal Summon!" "Infernal Summon!" "Infernal Summon!" "Infernal Summon!" "Infernal Summon!" "Infernal Summon!" "Inferrsfrsr!"

One after another, space rift appeared on the dark sky followed by the burning clump of hardened lava. Craters were formed continuously while the already landed meteor rose into beings, revealing their true self as the flaming lava golems.

"Even someone like me would stutter if I keep repeating the same thing as fast as I could damnit!"

"Pfft infersttst? I'm so telling San about this!"

"You dare? I'm not talking to you for a month if you do! Humph! Infernal Summon! Infernal Summon!"

Even when fighting an insane boss, both Mays and Ria treated the fight as if it was nothing important. They could still joked around like they always did.

"…" "Nailed it! Hahahhahahhaha!"

"What? What happened?"

"This happened hahahahhaa. Check this out, I'm a god hahahhaha. There, there and there hehehehe."

Wherever Mays pointed his fingers, meteors landed on that very spot two seconds later. He didn't even need to shout out the skill name for it to happen. He only need to imagine it in his mind for it to happen in reality.

Mays couldn't hide his excitement as he continuously pointed his finger all over the place. Not even ten second passed but there were already dozens of flaming lava golem on the ground, facing off the Black Vampyr. Ria and the rest of the spirits easily moved forward with the flaming lava golems opening their path.

The meteors shot were not random. Each and every one of them landed on their designated target as per calculated by Mays. They might seemed messy from the eyes of Ria and the rest of the spirits but if one looked from the sky, they would gaped in awe as how systematic Mays's thought was.

Those flaming lava golems were summoned in order, forming four row of meat shield, clearly making a straight path for Ria and the rest. The main purpose of these meat shields were to stall all these Black Vampyr from blocking their way of reaching Kokakola.

There was no way for Mays to summon hundreds of those flaming lava golem within one minute. Even if he could if he tried real hard, he never had the intention to. This was because he already had another plan in his mind. He only summoned several dozens of them to delay those Black Vampyr while he and Ria finished off Kokakola.

Not even twenty seconds passed and Ria finally arrived in front of Kokakola. With her sword shoved forward, she attacked without holding back.

"Prepare to meet your maker, bitch!"
