Admitting My Mistakes

It's been 45mins since Philip slammed into the Principal's office with Daisy and her friends. All the students gathered outside have been straining their ears to catch a glimpse of what was going on but couldn't get anything.

Julia, one of the students who had herself almost leaning on the window gazed quizzically at her other colleague beside her "What do you think is going on in there?" She questioned and the latter shrugged, "I don't know."

Mimie and Crystal on the other hand were no different from the rest. They wanted to know what was going on so badly but couldn't get anything. They both left out a deep sigh as they glanced at Jayden who was just lurking around but to their surprise, he looked well composed and less bothered like he knew what was going on. "Hmm.., hmm.." Mimie cleared her throat sharply, making Jayden glanced deftly at them with a raised eyebrow and a quizzical look which screams out his curiosity to know what's on their mind.

"Hey," Mimie tilted her head, folding her arms in the process. "Tell me, were you the one who told Philip about the footage?" She queried with a deadpan look. Jayden stared from Mimie to Crystal who had a calculating look on. He did tell him, but wasn't expecting things to escalate in that manner. Realizing that he has been found out, he sighed. "Well, I....." He didn't even end his words when Philip walked out of the door. Just as he stepped out, Mike and Eugene rushed over. "Hey man," the latter draped his hand around his shoulder. "What's going on in there?" He questioned.

Philip stared at their faces and then to the crowd, quite astonished to see almost everybody at the door. He glanced back at his friends with daggering eyes and strolled off. They both stared at each other confused but then, it dawned on Mike what the problem was. "Hey Phil," He shouted. "We didn't do this."

"Come on– man." Eugene thrown his hands dramatically in the air. "We didn't bring everybody here." He added and they rushed off after him. Everybody gathered outside was expecting to hear something from him but it all ended in a mess. They all scoffed among themselves quite disappointed.

Jayden, Mimie and Crystal glanced sceptically at each other. Just then, they heard the door opened again. They swiftly turned to it to see Lucretia coming out of the office. "Luc–" Both Mimie and Crystal chorused and hurried over to her with Jayden tailing after.

"Hey, are you okay?" Crystal queried as they stared at her expectantly. Noticing their worried and curious faces, she snickered. "I'm alright guys." she replied lurking around quizzically. "But why is everybody out here?" she stared back at her friends.

"Well," Jayden muttered. "You know how Lorena is. She brought everyone here."

Lucretia chuckled, slightly shaking her head. "Oh Lorena. When will she...." She was about to say something when the ring of the bell for the next lesson interrupted. "What?" one of the students exclaimed. "Did we just miss our first lesson?" He queried and the students started murmuring among themselves in disappointment. "This is going to affect the scores of our final exams." another person announced and they started dispersing in pairs and in groups.

"We should go too." Lucretia uttered to her friends and they strolled off to their class.

The Principal sat in his chair, back relaxed on the seat and hands clasped together. He stared thoughtfully at Daisy and her friends for a long while. What took him by surprise the most was the fact that his son was involved in such a mess. He had warned him earlier on to keep low and stay out of trouble after his bulling issue in his previous school which had him(The Principal) almost losing his job.

Just the mere thought of it was making him lose his cool. "Where is Ethane?" he queried, masking his anger with a composed look.

"I...I don't know sir." Nelly stuttered nervously. Though the Principal had not said anything, they knew from his stares that he was angry but none of them knew the main motive behind his anger. They thought it was just about the video but little did they know that there was more to it than meets the eye. "One of you should go and get him for me." He requested.

Nikita was about to move when he suddenly changed his mind. "No." he stopped her, making Nikita return back to her position. He picked up his phone and called Ethane's homeroom teacher. Within a twinkle of an eye, Ethane walked through the door.

He was first taken by surprise when he walked in to see Daisy and the rest but played dumb. Having no idea what was happening. "You called sir." He mumbled.

"Yes I did." He turned the laptop to Ethane's view and clicked on the play button. Ethane at first didn't understand anything. He took a closer look at the video and his eyes suddenly flew wide open in shock. "What do you have to say about this Ethane?" He queried.

"Well, I..., I..."

Daisy noticing the amount of tension welling up instantly snapped in, "It's all my fault sir." Nelly and Nikita swiftly glanced at each other then to Daisy. "What are you doing?" Nikita whispered, nudging her on the ribs. "My friends are innocent of this." Daisy continued, ignoring Nikita. "I forced them into it. They never wanted to be a part of it but I pushed them." She took all the blame, narrating whatever transpired.

"This is the least I could do for you guys." She grumbled mentally to herself, still avoiding their gaze.

The Principal seeing no more reason to still keep Nelly, Nikita and Ethane in the office let off his hook and called Daisy's parents. After about 30mins, her parents rushed into the school, straight to the Principal's office.

"What's going on here?" Daisy's mother asked as they walked into the office, strolling over to her daughter, critically examining her if she was alright.

"Can you tell us what's going on here Principal?" Her father questioned. Without uttering a word, the Principal played the video. Her mother who couldn't believe her eyes almost lost her balance and slammed herself into the seat beside her.

Her father deftly glanced at her stunned. "What is this Daisy?" He mumbled. It was at that stage that Daisy finally realized the gravity of the issue at hand.

Seeing her parents in such a state, she instinctively felt remorseful. "I'm so sorry Dad..." She cried.

He stared at his daughter for a brief seconds and glanced back at the Principal. "Is there not anything you can do about this?"

"I'm sorry sir but she will have to face the disciplinary committee and also hear from the parents of the victim if they might want to take any actions against her. That's the only thing we can do as a school."

Both Daisy's parents gazed at her upon the Principal's words. This was really going to affect their businesses and political career if the victim's parents are to take the issue far. "What were you thinking Daisy?" her father exuded. "You're so unbelievable!" He shouted and hurried out of the office.

Daisy's mother glanced at her husband's back then to the Principal. "I'm so sorry sir." He sprang up from her seat, picking up her bag. "Let's go dear." She draped her hand around her daughter's shoulder and they walked out of the office.

Soon, the news of Daisy being the person behind the video scandal spread through the entire school like wild fire. And the biggest of it all was the fact that she was going to face the disciplinary committee the next day. It had everybody wondering what their verdict was going to be and if Lucretia's parents were going to take any actions against her.
