"Sophia, I know it's hard for you to understand and I will try to tell you all that I can, when the time is right but for now, I can only tell you what you need to know. What is the most important for you to know right now and knowing the history of Gilthara is an important step for you to take."- the goddess said with all seriousness, that was kind of scary. It was like she was being told that the fate of the world was in her hands. Wait. Its exactly like that. THIS IS WHAT SHE IS BEING TOLD! SH*T!
Sophia closed her eyes to take deep breaths, because she knew that whatever this situation was, she couldn't avoid it. It was like, this was her destiny. Damn it! All she wanted was a night out, with her friends, and now look, she was standing in front of a Celestial Being, being told she was the ultimate power, not to mention that she was an alien who lived on earth! Well, that thought just hit her, who by the way, had to defend the weak and was oh, oh yeah A bloody PRINCESS!
Again, once she was done doing what seemed like her minute-by-minute introspection and inner musings, she was brought back to reality by the goddess, for what she could only assume was going to be her adventure into the world of 3D but without the glasses! The goddess again seemed to be able to hear Sophia's thoughts as she had an amused look on her ethereal face and it annoyed Sophia a little, but she knew that she couldn't be disrespectful to a being who was standing… floating in the vastness of space one hundred foot tall.
So, to get whatever was going to happen over with Sophia took in another deep breath and said – "I am ready, let's do this shi… thing." The goddess smirked at her, she knew what she was about to say, but didn't say anything, this girl has cussed in front of her quite a bit but only now censored herself.
The goddess the stared at Sophia and brought her into what seemed like a tranced state. her eyes glassed over, not really seeing anything, not realising her eyes had actually turn pearly white and then they glowed!
At that moment Sophia was being shown the world, Gilthara, this world she was born too, the world she was from and how it started out peacefully, the different species of this world lived in harmony, yes you heard it right different species! And not just any species but the ones that we thought lived in the fantasy worlds of books and movies such as werewolves, vampires, mages, elves, mermaids and more.
Sophia stood in amazement at the whole scene, staring at the men and women of each species going about their day to day lives, she saw the start of the first of each species and how they had to struggle to survive this world and the original beast who lived here first, they looked similar to the dinosaurs but much worse, no wonder the goddess said that nothing could hurt me and kept stressing it was all an illusion because I can honestly say nearly crapped my pants! She was currently floating in the air just above the ground so seeing that thing up close was terrifying to say the least.
It looked like a cross between a velociraptor and a lion with spikes on the end of its tail. It had long fangs in its large mouth that dripped disgusting saliva because of course it would, it wouldn't be extra scary without that part now wouldn't it! Sophia was just glad that the goddess was with her, well she couldn't see her at the moment, but she knew she was there with her, like a connection between the two. So, Sophia knew she was safe in this illusion.
As she continued to watch on, she started to see a change in the scenery, it was like it was fast forwarding, when it slowed down the environment had changed, it now looked like the world had entered the Middle Ages, although to her it looked quite primitive from her viewpoint, But then again this is the early stages of the world and how whatever happened, happened. So, she pushed that little non-important thought out of her head and focused on watching everything that was happening in front of her, as she didn't know what was important and what wasn't.
So, from what she could gather, the many different species lived, most of the time, in relative harmony as mentioned before, sharing resources, living their lives and building families. Of course, Sophia witnessed some large-scale fights and well… wars over territory but what civilization didn't have wars over resources? Even if she hated seeing this sight, and she definitely hated seeing innocence die over something that could be shared, especially when she witnessed those who came into power at the beginning becoming greedy for more than they needed.
It was useless for her to overthink it. This was the history of Gilthara, and she could do nothing to change its past. As she thought about it more, she realised that she was the lost princess of this world but as she was focused on the scenes in front of her, she didn't know which kingdom she belonged too.
