Twenty years part 2

The different academies of the empire recruited kids from the ages of 12 to 16. The teachings lasted for 4 years. Nothing changed in that regard. The average level of the students got a lot higher than before. A lot of the children already were at the first or the second level of the knight apprentice when they were taking the entrance exams. A lot of the citizens went to the academies to get the knight techniques until the fifth level of the apprentice knight. Most of Max's brats were at their final stages of winning over the level one bot in the simulation. All the kids tried to help each other to win the bot. A lot of them got to be friends in the end. As for the trio under Max they already were venturing into the goblin crypt together and killing their way at the knight level stages. Redon that was the oldest was already at the third knight and mage apprentice levels. He was already thirteen years old. Nina was a little bit behind because she had lower talent for magic and the fact that she was a year younger than her older brother. She was at the third level apprentice knight and second level of apprentice mage. As for Marco that was around 12.5 years old. He was at the second level of knight apprentice and at the third level of mage apprentice. This trio were all monsters. There were other kids that had reached the apprentice level as knights or as mages or both, but they were not even close to this trio. Those brats were affected by Redon battling everything that moved and their father that trained sometimes with them. It caused all three brats to want to get stronger. Redon nagged at Max to show the supernova skill and Max surrendered in the end. This showdown of the supernova skill happened a year ago. The kids did expect something great, but not that much. The amount of destruction they saw left them speechless. They could not believe such things could be created by a single human. When they saw the mushroom cloud and the huge explosion and died in the aftermath because Max thought they were more capable than they really were. They also did not expect the wave caused by the explosion to kill them. They got the point on how weak they were and what long way they had to grow. It was the first time they felt like ants in terms of power level. After that case the those kids trained a lot more diligently.

Today was the day when his three most talented and hard working brats were going to go to the academies entrance exams. The kids decided that they will go to the same academy so they could be together and support each other. The main leader was Redon with Nina and Marco keeping him from doing some crazy shit. Max went with them so they will not cause trouble. Most of his other children were in a phase where they fought the bot copy of themselves. Also their mothers wanted them to grow up a little more and attend the academies at the age of around 14. Max did approve of this. It was not a problem for him as long as the brats progressed well. As for those three brats that he accompanied most of the time. He tried to tell them that they could take their time, but Redon was just hell bent on doing something new and looking for new opponents. Max went with them just to be sure they will not cause trouble. 

Max took them to the National Alexandria's academy. He knew a lot of changes happened in the academies. In most academies there was a test for magic talent and a check for talent for each element with the test for knight talent that was before. Max just purchased the device for the mage talent testing from the Ruth empire in a cheap price. He did not want to take it from the system in a high price or just to take a lot of time to make them himself. Max had better things to do in life. Every top academy had a knight department and a magic department. The magic department was split into six departments. Department of neutral magic that was allocated to those with no talent for any element and the departments of fire, water, wind, earth and lightning. In each of those departments there were teachers up to the mage level depending on the academy that were teaching the students a breathing technique for mages up to the fifth apprentice level and the theory and practical applications of magic. The breathing technique was the same for all students but the teachings about the applications of magic were very different depending on the element the students studied. 

Now the academies had a check for knight and magic affinity. After that there was a check of the power of the student in hitting a dummy the showed the power of the attack. As for the students with magic talent. They could do it as well to get benefits from the academy like subsidization of the study of magic spells that were beyond the normal program of the academy. Very talented children could even skip classes. 

When Max arrived with his three brats it did caused an uproar. Now everyone knew how to emperor looked and also knew that his kids were growing and training really hard. There were kids that tried to play with their royal status and were severely punished by Max. After it did happen no one did anything stupid. The principle of the academy, Jax recognized Max almost instantly and went forward to let Max pass without any waiting, but Max refused.

Max said to Jax: "Here I am just a father with his three brats. I just came over to be sure they will not cause any trouble."

Some other people heard it and felt strange. That was something that could never happen twenty years ago. Even if Max did use this little privilege no one would care. People loved their new ruler. There was a lot of freedom in the Yin Yang empire. The studies for the students were subsidized by the empire in the academies to make sure commoners could study and grow as equals in the empire. There were still rich families and clans with big heritage and influence, but everyone had a chance now. All they needed to do was to work hard.
