James's dark chapter
Max suddenly understood what Adela was saying to him.
Max gave a slight nod of the head. Adela grinned as she spoke to Petra upon noticing Max.
"Well, I see. That truly is fantastic. I really missed it, damn. Hahaha."
She broke into a cackle as she spoke. Max rolled his eyes as he saw Adela behaving excessively. Then Adela said, "Well, Petra, can you tell us where we may find Camilla?"
"Camilla? Uh..." When Petra responded, she looked around. She spoke after giving it some thought.
"I think she goes to the cafeteria."
"Ahh, thank you. We will then go there. See you soon."
Adela didn't stay long and walked away. Max was with her as well. They moved in the café's direction.
While walking, Max said, "Where did you go?"
"The emperor summoned me."
Max didn't inquire why; he wasn't interested in learning about the emperor's or Adela's problems. He was anxious because of Camilla.
"Adela, it's not a good sign," said Max.
