When James realized Adela would remain in her posture, he blinked his eyes, but Adela didn't think to look away. He attempted to make a move that would entice Adela to approach him because he knew she was a smart woman and wouldn't be fooled by his looks easily. He said that, breaking the ice between them.
"Are you looking for Camilla?"
"Yes".
In a split second, Adela's expression changed as she heard.
James responded, "I think she's practicing."
After saying "thank you, prince," to James, Adela was ready to depart. But James's words caught her off guard just as she was about to leave.
"Please let her know I won't be going with her anymore. I received an urgent report. I'll accompany her next time."
James uttered it before leaving the academy. Adela's jaw gaped open as she heard the prince. What did he say? She couldn't even move for a second from there. Adela believed James was making moves toward her, but Camilla? How did he end up with Camilla?
