Saving Yelena 101

After a few minutes the 2nd Princess, Yelena, arrived. She was announced the same way every noble kid was announced except that everyone was quiet once she entered. 

Her presence felt like an untouchable gem. Nobody even dared to go up to her until the Emperor decided to speak congratulating Yelena.

'Luna you told me about a twin right?'

{Yep}

'Why is it that only Yelena is celebrating?'

{Why do you think it's three days?}

'Ah'

So the first day is for the youngest and the third day is for the oldest? What kind of order is that?

But I didn't question it, since the situation is very favorable for me. If the youngest has finished with her birthday then I could come to her early. 

I just need to give the elixir or the necklace. That's all I have to do, like any other servants of other households we stood close to the wall. 

When all the kids got tired they started leaving one by one, and of course, Ophelia is the same as any other kid, she eventually felt tired and I led her back to her chamber. 

"How was it?"

"The food tastes good~"

"That's nice to hear."

I was about to walk out when Ophelia looked in my direction and asked. 

"Where are you going?"

"Somewhere, I'll be back Lia"

"Mn… okay, be back since it's dark already, okay?"

"Of course"

I replied heartily with a light smile, Ophelia tilted her head as I closed the door. The moment I came out I checked the surroundings. 

None, there are none. So I went to the shrubbery garden of the palace. In which I avoided some patrolling servants and guards. 

I changed my clothes there, today I have prepared a lot of items. A mask, a robe, a uniform just so I couldn't get caught. 

"I sacrifice a plentiful of my mana, completely erase my presence"

I felt a bit of something being sucked out of my body. It's like I'm feeling dry, I ignored it and moved on.

I climbed to the top of the palace, my robe in black complimenting the dark knight. I started running around in what I'm pretty sure was the room of the Princess. 

I don't expect it to be easy though, I know there would be quite a few circles ready to blast me away when I got detected. 

"Oh ho~"

But of course, what met me isn't a circle but a person. A robed individual, their voice is deep. 

'Aww, man…'

[Oof, want me to take over?]

'Can you?'

[Use your sacrificial magic to exchange with me or something]

'ugh…'

"Oya~ seems like you're distracted"

The robed individual in the distance, spoke once again this time, dashing toward me. His robe flowed down and with a light tap on the ground, he instantly appeared before me. 

"Even if you're with a mask I could tell what you're trying to do…" he put a finger under his chin "Are you a spy perhaps? No, your stature is short… So are you a child?"

I can't help but be locked in place as I saw him move swiftly. This man was strong, and if I retaliated I might die. 

"So… Servant… what's your purpose?"

"... Would you believe me if I told you?"

"hohoho! Depends on what you say"

"I found in my sources that the princess would be poisoned tonight…"

This guy, with this pressure, is surely one of the three peak 2nd class swordsmen that serve the princess then maybe I could at least tell this much. 

"And why with that outfit?"

I sighed, and carefully took out the elixir I had in hand. 

"Y-you'll give that?! You must be pretty ambitious then"

"No… " I shook my head "why would I wear this much disguise if I would want a reward."

"... So you just solely want to help the princess huh?"

The man in front of me pondered a bit, then concluded. "Alright, alright. But… "

With a disgusting smile the man before him took out something from his ring, and he passed it to me. 

"Drink this then go to that balcony, you have to give it to her. Alright?"

"What about the guy who poisoned her?"

"Oh right. Then… just give the elixir to her and tell her to drink it later."

This old man, I swear he's like… trying to be a matchmaker, we're just a bunch of kids you know?

"Anyways, that potion is just an eye-changing potion. It lasts for 4 days, so uh… good luck hiding your eye, that's at least a punishment trying to sneak around here."

Ugh... I want to retaliate but I'll get blasted to smithereens. So I obediently drank the potions and went to the balcony. I saw the princess sitting down on a chair like she was appreciating the sky. 

Her eyes widened as I stepped down the railing. 

"Hello princess~"

The Princess' eyes looked at me bewildered, she was surprised I guess that's justified. 

She then held her head with a pained expression. 

"Is our little princess sick?"

She looked at me again, But now with a slight vermilion hue on her cheeks, what is this reaction?

Her complexion is seemingly fine. I then took out the necklace. Since I already told the man from before about the poisoning he must be moving right now. 

"W… what's your name—"

"..."

I could only faintly smile at her question, walking up to her. I wore her necklace while she was still on her astonished face. 

"Wear this princess"

"ngh—" once again Princess Yelena held her head "Wa… wait!" 

"You'll be fine… that necklace contains a spirit~ it will help you with your headaches"

With a smile, she looked at me dazed, back at the necklace and me. She wanted to reach out to me but before she could voice out what she wanted the necklace glowed.

With swift movements I left the balcony, going to the roof of the palace. Yelena tried to catch up but she simply wasn't fast enough.

I can't believe it, it was happening before me. 

"Hello princess~"

T-the prince in my visions! He— he's finally here! I wanted to ask so many questions but the pain suddenly struck my head. 

"Is our little princess sick?" 

He asked me with a worried expression, his raven black hair compliments the night the moonlight shone, outlining the hair that was flowing from the gentle breeze. 

I couldn't help but be in awe. I didn't even know that my cheeks had become crimson, I opened my mouth as he was taking out the necklace I'd seen in my vision. 

"wha—" I held my head, ignoring my pain I continued to ask "What's your name?"

He didn't speak, instead, he lightly smiled and walked close to me. I couldn't move, I wanted to immerse myself at this moment. 

He held his hand out and started putting the necklace on, being gentle as he could. 

"Wear this princess,"

I opened my mouth to speak, but as fate doesn't want me to, my head started to ache. I was frustrated. I wanted to ask more. 

"Ngh!"I held my head "W-wait!" I held my hand out. 

He was walking away now, standing on the railing of the balcony. 

You'll be fine… that necklace contains a spirit~ it will help you with your headaches"

Then I couldn't help but stop in my tracks, an item with a spirit? Wouldn't that be an Epic item? Something sought out by nobles but he just gave me this for free?

I stood there dazed, completely admiring the dark prince in front of me. But I shook myself and held out once again, but the necklace glowed. 

A wisp appeared before me and the dark prince was gone. I was a bit disappointed. 

"oh! So he wants me to save royalty…"

The wisp spoke, I pouted but it's a gift that was given to me by the dark prince! I would cherish it all my life... 

"Child, I see that you're in pain… have a contract with me, I could help you with that"

"You… Can?"

Is this why he gave it to me? No way an ordinary light spirit could help— no way! Is it a high-ranking spirit? He… he… gave me a legendary item?

I'm so moved. 

I immediately made a contract with the wisp as I also want the pain to go away. The moment we did a bright flash of light enveloped me. The guards rushed in to see me, but to their surprise, I had a wisp in my arms.

I rushed back the moment I gave the necklace, the man from before was gone so it was an easy walk for me, changing my clothes and going back wasn't a hassle. 

My eyes though are still blue. I used sacrificial magic to remove it, though the mana I used was quite tiny I'm glad it wasn't excessive. 

As I was returning a bright flash of light occurred that could be seen in the garden. I guess my job is done as I return to my chambers.
