Powers of a Body Technique

Making Xiu Ying the leader of a group of bad guys wasn't hard since it was within the scope of Li Chen's imagination.

However, the godlike entity that sent him here had brought his characters to life. Li Chen previously focused on a few characters since that was his limit but every character acted like they were supposed to.

Why were those ruthless cultivators willing to obey Xiu Ying when she wasn't even a native of their city? Apparently, someone had set his eyes on her position and this was the perfect time to execute his plans.

"Who are these fools?" Xiu Ying scoffed, her pride boundless, even when she had exhausted her star energy.

Lifting her eyes, she saw Li Chen staring at the thugs without moving, his stationary position causing her brows to furrow.

With a soft grunt, Xiu Ying got to her feet. "Kill them."

Li Chen was about to move but her voice rang again: "Not you."

Li Chen turned back and saw Tiger Yi and Pig Yun walking past him; their eyes gleamed with cold light.

Pig Yun's body gained a bronze hue and bulged till he stood at a staggering height of 2 meters with protruding muscles.

Tightening his grip around both cleavers, which also gained a bronze hue, Pig Yun roared, and his powerful breath sent some thugs a few steps back.

They were already reconsidering after seeing Pig Yun's transformation but it was too late. He leaped into the air, both cleavers raised above his head.

In that second, the phantom of a red-eyed buffalo appeared behind him. Red mist burst out of his body and he bolted toward the thugs like a mad buffalo.

"Mountain Slash!" He roared and cleaved down, splitting two thugs and destroying the ground.

The smashing of his knees against the face of another was akin to smashing a hammer on a watermelon.

The sight made Li Chen frown. It was barbaric, savage, and ruthless. Seeing such rage, Tiger Yi gave up fighting.

The thugs were a bunch of mundane-level cultivators and two immortal human cultivators who achieved their level by endlessly absorbing stolen exotic herbs and beast cores.

Pig Yun's roars pierced the skies, which had turned bright after the vengeful spirit's death and the sound of his cleavers cutting through flesh kept drilling into Li Chen's ears.

Just as he was about to turn, Xiu Ying turned her head toward him. "Look at it. A day will come and it will be your turn to prove that you can still serve me."

[Killing the spirit wasn't enough.]

"No." Xiu Ying spat and turned back to the slaughter. There was no expression of glee or disgust, only indifference.

A few minutes passed and they stared at the hulking man covered in people's blood, panting softly while thick blood dripped from his cleavers.

Turning back, he flashed a wide smile, exposing his white teeth.

'I bet he's about to say something like, I didn't even use all my strength,' Li Chen snickered inwardly.

"I only used 60 percent of my strength, Miss Ying." He fell on his knees and Tiger Yi followed.

"Punish us! We dared raise our fist against you!" They both exclaimed with remorseful expressions.

"Tsk! You were under the spirit's illusion. But I am disappointed that Li Chen could easily overcome her illusion and both of you failed."

Pig Yun's eyes flashed. "But Miss, isn't that because he's lusting after you already?"

A sudden silence filled the air and an audible gulp echoed. Li Chen quickly distanced himself from Xiu Ying.

Xiu Ying's grip around the hilt of her sword tightened and she pointed it at Li Chen; her eyes gleamed with murderous intent.

However, a second later, she sighed and sheathed her blade. Lustful or not, Li Chen had shown his potential. Besides, it would be strange if he wasn't.

And the man who spoke was the main culprit. Xiu Ying met Pig Yun because he couldn't control his lust to woo her so she ended up beating him to submission.

"Pity him. He doesn't have a face." Xiu Ying replied and walked away.

Li Chen ground his teeth, anger flickering through his eyes as his grip on his sheath tightened.

At that moment, Xiu Ying paused. Turning her head, she saw Li Chen in the same position. 'He's angry. Good, that's a weakness I need to root out before it causes him trouble.'

"Brother Chen. Don't be offended; Miss Ying is like that. She's a little girl; it's our job to take care of her," Tiger Yi rushed to Li Chen's side and whispered.

Pig Yun approached and nodded. "You…!" Li Chen pointed at the fat man and furiously smacked his head.

"I deserve that. I didn't think she'd poke your soft spot."

Li Chen's eyes flew wide. 'Soft spot?! Am I being mocked!'

[Hey, look here. This is metal. It is the hardest spot on my body!] Li Chen said, knocking on his mask.

"Eh? Miss is almost gone. Let's follow her!" Tiger Yi exclaimed.

When they arrived where Xiu Ying was, Li Chen saw her standing before the chief of the town.

The old man garbed in a brown robe brought out a heavy pouch filled with jade coins and Xiu Ying grabbed it.

[Why are you taking money from them?] Li Chen asked while heading back to the carriage.

Xiu Ying turned to him, her willowy brows locked together. "You ask a lot of questions; I don't remember giving you a lot of duties. However, this town is under my protection so they need to pay for my services."

Although she saw Li Chen still considering the people, Xiu Ying wasn't bothered and was about to board her carriage when Li Chen held her sleeve.

[I just wanted to say. Return to your favorite color; you look pretty in red.]

Seeing her shocked look, Li Chen felt a weird emotion within him but his dislike killed it in a second.

Turning, he mounted his black horse and saw her still staring at him with a pair of alluring, innocent eyes.

'Why did such a beauty have to be so heartless? Will I become like her?' Li Chen pondered and turned away from her face.

Minutes later, they rode into the bustling city. The streets were populated with several horse riders and a few carriages. Li Chen's eyes narrowed when he saw a three-story pagoda.

'Bia Cang Auction House. That surname is familiar,' he mused.

"Stop at the auction house," Xiu Ying's pleasant voice rang.
