Deadly Snow

Skyler burnt off the strings and made some distance between them. He stared at Yuki silently and saw her smile slightly tilt downwards.

"Is this the extent of your growth?" Yuki asked, "Such a person was chosen to help Zaiden regain his power?"

"What do you mean?" Skyler asked with an astonished look

Yuki threw her zither up, ran toward him, and punched him in the gut. She brought her finger amour rings downwards to his face. Skyler turned in fire and reformed behind her although a cut appeared on his cheek.

He noticed the string tied to her fingers that pulled the zither into Skyler's body. He felt a sharp pain and looked confusedly at the instrument. She looked at him with a disapproving look and Skyler felt rage.

"As a villain and artist, this Yuki is disappointed." she sighed

Skyler advanced his hands and she tilted her head. Her eyes widened as strands of hair burnt off and Yuki violently kicked him in the gut. Kicks came stomping on the villain as if she was venting her anger for the lost hair.

"Yuki takes good care of the chance Zaiden has given Yuki!!" she yelled "Yuki would have died in that brothel!!"

She kicked Skyler into the nearby wall and he coughed violently looking at Yuki. Skyler's blood stained her kimono and she was dangerously enchanting. Her light steps moved closer to Skyler's finger amour rings dug into his colon and he twisted her hand in his body.

"Despicable.." Yuki went

Skyler coughed, "What if he does something horrible?"

"Then so be it." Yuki answered "My resolve shan't be shaken by the ungrateful like yourself. I fight for my family and he gave me that power."

Skyler exploded in flames and Yuki pushed back. He stood up holding an enlarged spatula as Yuki held her zither. Skyler saw her eyes burnt with tenacity.

"So you'll just let him do whatever he wants?" Skyler frowned

Yuki went, "WHY DID YOU MAKE A DEAL WITH SUCH A PERSON THEN?!"

Skyler was taken and remembered Zaiden's purple eyes.

"The chosen ones have lost their resolve by only the tip of the iceberg" Yuki frowned " This is why you should be eliminated before ruining sir's Master Plan."

Yuki removed her kanzashi and was silent. The air around changed as the woman advanced fearsomely.

Skyler rose his spatula and clashed with her zither. Yuki pulled the zither back and pushed her free hand forward. Skyler tilted the spatula to sweep her upwards, star cookies rose from the ground and fired toward her.

Yuki's strings spread everywhere and caught her as she looked at the incoming cookie attack. The attacks dodged the string marvelously as closed in on the person. Yuki's fingers struck her zither making a sound wave that crumpled the cookies.

Skyler was behind her with flame wings flapping on his back holding a large knife and descended. Yuki pulled on the strings, cutting herself and shifting her body to prevent a fatal blow. The knife sunk into her thigh and Yuki used her finger amour rings to cut all the strings holding her.

As they fell, Skyler noticed water droplets appearing and Yuki let out a breath. She looked at the ground underneath and felt the zither before sticking the strings. With a gentle touch, she strummed the zither and the sound of the droplets seemed to dance along with it. A strong sound wave went off, knocking electricity poles over, killing unfortunate spectators and Yuki landed on her feet.

She began to play with one hand and her bloodied kimono spun in the moonlight. Skyler shook his head, sharply flew down, and stabbed into her liver. Although the song didn't stop playing and he coughed up blood.

He saw fine water sticks had thrust into his back and Yuki pulled back. The water sticks merged into a place for Yuki to sit down. Her other hand joined the deadly song that echoed throughout the city ominously.

It began to rain and the water was bent by Yuki's song into blades, cherry blossom trees, and elegant dancing dancers. A cold breeze rolled in and Skyler knew she was getting serious. Zaiden was on his terrace, closed his eyes, and listened to the frightful yet beautiful song.

"You've outdone yourself again, Yuki." Zaiden smiled

The blades plunged into his body giving him no chance to catch his breath. With every strike, a blade hit his body and made him look like a hedgehog on the ground. Skyler forced himself up and looked at the enchanting Yuki play passionately to the world.

"Please...die for sir's plan." He heard her say

Thousands...no...tens of thousands or more blades flew towards Skyler. He prepared for the worse until an intense heat wave evaporated the water and Yuki's strings were burnt. Zaiden opened his eyes and Yuki looked at Jaxon sharply.

" Are you okay, Sky?" Jaxon asked

Skyler bit his lip and nodded. It was a bittersweet rescue and he looked at Yuki with a mixture of emotions. Yuki let out a sigh and stood up as her strings fixed themselves.

"Until next time." Yuki smiled turning around

Jaxon frowned, "You won't fight me?!"

Yuki simply smiled back, Jaxon and Skyler's pride was strongly hit as she walked away. A song echoed from her, it was slow and gentle although it was scary for some reason.

Yuki returned to Zaiden's place and met some other people in the living. They were enjoying themselves and turned to the bloody woman.

"So, Yuki?" a voice smiled

The smile on her face was long gone and cold eyes stared at the audience.

"Utterly disappointing." she replied and paused "Although...maybe."

They were taken aback by Yuki's words and seemed to ponder.

"Yuki means snow. So I beat they got a blizzard that side." a man laughed in the silence

"Please, no."

"I held back." Yuki confessed, "I needed to see his strength firsthand."

"Don't forget we're in a race as well." a woman pouted "Do you want Zaiden to lose?"

Yuki's smile returned and she squeezed herself onto the couch. A trail of blood followed her and she ignore the people's grumbling. A dangerous light gleamed in her eyes and everyone noticed.

"Hmm. This might be more fun than we hoped." everyone laughed loudly

Jaxon took Skyler to the hospital and he didn't say anything the entire ride. The other Pillars were there as well and Skyler turned his face away from them.

"What the hell happened?" Ivan exclaimed, "How does a phoenix get hurt that bad?"

"I overestimated myself." Skyler's voice went " The twins, Zyder and Dylan are sending real strong people."

The room was silent as the rain Yuki made ran rampant outside. Skyler's eyes widened as snow started to fall.
