Vigilante Fairytale

"Why bother throwing the man in the sea when you can just burn him and bury him deep into the forest?" Nic asked as he stood behind a man who was in front of a lot of computer screens. "What are you talking about?" The man didn't even look away from his computers when he asked indifferently. Nic draped his arms on the backrest of the sofa. He crossed his leg over the other and said, "I wouldn't be surprised if Meg would one day come here skipping happily to arrest you," He was looking at the screens in front of him until his eyes landed on the screen that shows the very woman he just mentioned. "She would definitely be happy to arrest me but she won't," Before Nic could ask why he was so confident, Timothy turned around to face him without standing up and asked, "What do you want?" Nic didn't even hesitate and straightforwardly said, "We want in," Timothy's eyes darken. "We?" He asked. "Me and Mason," Nic replied. "No," Timothy instantly answered and then turned his back on Nic to continue doing whatever it is that he was doing. "Why do you want to do this?" "I know that you are doing this because of what happened to your mother in the past and I believe in your purpose. We want to seek justice in our own way," Nic said. "This is unlawful," Timothy just said. "Since when did we abide by the law? Have you forgotten that we have our own rules, our own laws? Heck, we even have our own punishment and prison cells. You of all people should know that because you have been taking advantage of it since you were ten," Nic said. ********************************************** Nic, Mason, Daxon, and Matthew grew up together. Since their parents were friends, it was understandable that they grew up as friends as well. In fact, they always joked that they were friends before they were born. They care for each other. They look out for each other. They would kill for each other. Their bond was so deep that they always have each other's back. To the point that they would support and keep each others crimes. They were rich, smart, and powerful. Not to mention they were all good-looking young men. Everyone knows that. But not everyone knows the crimes that they were hiding. No know would know...no one should know. Except for their women. But the problem is...how are they going to tell their women that they are vigilantes who torture and kill criminals without making them run for the hills? Because if there is only one thing they fear...that is losing their women.

With The Best View

Olivia was so entranced by the view in front of her that she almost jumped when Matthew wrapped his arms around her waist from behind. "Someone's happy," Matthew whispered at the back of her ears, making the skin on the back of her neck stand up, leaving a good sensation all over her body.

Olivia smiled and turned her head to look at him. "How should I not?" Her happiness was radiating off of her that it was so contagious. It makes Matthew happy as well.

Then Olivia tipped her toes and pressed her lips on Matthew's lips. "Thank you for bringing me here," She said.

Matthew felt that the quick peck on his lips was not enough, leaned down and kissed her again. At the same time, he tightened his arms around her waist but not to the point that would hurt her and said, "We haven't even spent fifteen minutes here and you were already thanking me,"

Olivia turned her body around in Matthew's arms so that she was facing him. Now Matthew's arms were loosely hugging her but Olivia didn't mind their display of affection to each other as she wrapped her arms around his neck. "How many days are we going to stay here?" She asked.

"For as long as you want," Matthew answered as he stared down at her with adoring eyes. It amazes him that despite knowing Olivia for years, no matter where they are or what she wears, he always finds her so beautiful. She was the most gorgeous woman, aside from his mother, that he had seen and he doubts if he would ever see any woman as gorgeous as her.

To Matthew's eyes, Olivia is the epitome of beauty. Even if she was not smiling. Even if she was frowning. Even if she was sad or mad. Even if her eyes were wide and mouth agape just like now. "Are you kidding me? You have a job," Olivia cried.

When Matthew said that he was going to stay at home and accompany Olivia throughout her two-week break, she was first against it because she knows that his job could be demanding sometimes. They argued about it but Olivia eventually conceded when Matthew said that he can always bring his work home, which Olivia had proven that he really can because he already did multiple times in the past.

But now that they were on a vacation, Olivia doubts if Matthew could work especially with the beautiful distractions surrounding them.

Olivia would feel guilty if Matthew's work piled up because he was not able to work for a couple of days.

But Matthew doesn't seem to worry about that. Either he was so good at managing his time and work and everything was under his control, or it was because he was best friends with the owner of the company that he was working for so he thought that it was okay to be lazy sometimes.

"You know I can take my job anywhere, babe. So don't worry about that. And even if I lose my job, I know you will take care of me," Matthew said, making Olivia cast a dry look at him.

Matthew chuckled and then he let go of her only to grab her hands. "Let's go. I saw a boutique down in the hallway," He said and then he pulled her towards a hallway.

Olivia let herself be dragged by Matthew but she looked behind them to where the reception was and asked, "Aren't we going to check in first?"

"I already did," Matthew answered.

Olivia looked at Matthew with a perplexed look on her face. "What?" But Matthew just smiled at her. She wondered how long she was standing on the balcony and fawning over the view that Matthew was already able to get them a room.

She smiled and hopefully said, "I hope we have a nice view in our room," Olivia felt like she would fight to have the view of the beach in their room. If that would be the case, she will make sure that the windows are always open and the curtains are drawn to the side so that she could still enjoy the view even if they were inside the hotel.

Actually, it would be better if their room has a balcony. Olivia thought to herself.

"Don't worry, babe. I made sure of it," Matthew smiled at her in a way that Olivia could tell he knew something that she didn't.

Olivia opened her mouth to ask him something but Matthew pulled her inside the boutique. It was a small boutique that had minimal displays but its smell and ambiance were luxurious. The walls behind the shelves were made of mirrors making it look spacious. One wall was a huge floor-to-ceiling glass window letting the wind and sounds coming from the sea enter the boutique giving it a more inviting vibe.

Although there were minimal displays, there were a lot of designs to choose from. Instinctively, Olivia let go of Matthew's hands and walked toward the women's section. She was expecting Matthew to go to the men's section but she rolled her eyes when she saw him following her.

There were no customers in the boutique aside from them probably because the guests of the resort were all on the beach so it made shopping for swimwear more comfortable.

"Babe, this one or this one?" Olivia asked Matthew as she held the sets of bikinis with both her hands.

Matthew narrowed his eyes at her hands. On her right hand is a blue-green and white tropical printed halter drawstring bikini with a matching romper cover up while on her right hand is a floral print bandeau bikini.

Matthew frowned. Though the first one has a cover-up, he still doesn't like what Olivia would wear underneath it so he looked around until his eyes fell beside him. "This one," He held out a tropical-printed surfing suit that had long sleeves and reached mid-thigh in front of Olivia instead of choosing between the bikinis in her hands.

Olivia glared playfully and smacked his arm with the swimsuit she was holding. "Matthew!"

Olivia was a model so she was used to showing off her skin and the curves of her body. Compared to other models, Olivia doesn't have a skinny type of body. Though slim, she still has curves in the right places. She was confident with her body.

But Matthew doesn't seem pleased about it so he ignored her and pushed the surfing suit into Olivia's hand. "Take this one. You'll look better in this," But he also pointed at the two bikinis that Olivia was holding and said, "But also, take those. We have a jacuzzi inside our room. You can wear that where only I could see," He said with a smirk and then he turned around to choose a swimwear for himself.

Olivia could only shake her head. "You are impossible," Then something in his words caught her. "Wait! We have a jacuzzi?" She said as she followed him.

"Uh-huh," Matthew nodded his head as he grabbed a few pieces of swimwear for him. He didn't even spare a few moments to choose. He just grabbed what he thought would fit him. After all, men's swimwear all looked the same to him.

"Oh, God! I am so excited!" Olivia said ecstatically and then she followed Matthew to the cashier.

"Wait till you see our room," Matthew said with a sheepish smile while paying for their purchases.

After walking out of the boutique, Matthew and Olivia had to go back to their car to get their bags which consisted only of two duffel bags. Though they did not have a plan for where to go when they left the house, they packed considerably in case they finally decided where to go and would have to stay for a few days.

Fortunately, they did. Because it seems like Matthew plans on staying for a few days even if Olivia doesn't agree because he knew that in her heart she wanted to.

Once they got their bags, Olivia noticed that instead of finding an elevator or at least a stair since it was just a three-level hotel, they walked out of the hotel.

They passed through a rose garden which tempted Olivia to stop and take a photo of them and then they descended stairs made of cobblestones.

When Olivia couldn't hold her curiosity anymore, she tugged Matthew's hand and asked, "Babe…are we not going to our room yet?"

"We are," Matthew glanced over his shoulder and was amused to see the confused look on Olivia's face.

At Matthew's answer, Olivia looked even more confused. "But…is this the right way?" She asked and then she looked behind her to where they came from.

"Of course, this is," Matthew replied.

Olivia frowned because it was obvious that Matthew was playing tricks on her but she let it slide because it was obvious to her that they were descending toward the beach which she doesn't mind. He could have just told her that they are going to the beach instead of lying as if it would surprise her.

They took a couple more flights of stairs and Olivia's leg was already burning but when she looked ahead, they were only halfway to the beach. She groaned and asked Matthew again where they were going but Matthew only laughed at her and asked her when was the last time she worked out because it looks like she needed to hit the gym frequently.

Olivia pouted her lips and told him that he would have to carry her on his back on their way back to the hotel.

But Matthew didn't respond to that but instead, stopped descending and turned to their right. When Olivia followed him, her jaw instantly dropped to the grass that they were stepping into.

"No way!" Olivia's eyes were bulging out of their sockets as she gawked in front of them.

Matthew cannot help but laugh and walked behind her to hug her. And then he leaned forward to kiss the side of her head. He felt satisfied seeing how happy he made Olivia.

Olivia excitedly turned around in Matthew's arms to look at him and cried, "You rent a villa!" Then she looked back at the villa in front of them that is the size of a small house. "They have a villa!" She exclaimed as she put her hands in her mouth dropping her hand carry bag in the process.

Matthew chuckled seeing Olivia acting like a child. He could really tell how happy she was and he was glad that he made the decision to come to that resort. It was his first time in that resort as well. He just saw that in an advertisement a couple of weeks ago and instantly thought of Olivia.

It was just then he remembered about it.

Matthew placed both his hands on Olivia's shoulders and turned her to her left because it seems that her eyes zeroed in on the villa. "With the best view. As you wish," He said, showing Olivia the one hundred and eighty degrees, uninterrupted view of the sea and the small group of islands not far from shore.

"Oh, my God!" Olivia jumped in excitement. She turned and cupped Matthew's face and kissed him on his lips. "Matthew, I love you,"

Probably, not everyone will understand Olivia's excitement. Every person has one thing that would make them feel like a child again. To Olivia, it was probably the beach because it reminds her of her mother who loves the beach. The beach was part of Olivia's happy childhood memory. When her mother was still alive.
