Oliver dreamt of seeing his younger sister again and he hoped to see her smiling face. Her smile always reached her eyes to the point that you will never think that she could be in pain or if there was something troubling her.
When he saw her again, her eyes were filled with tears because of anger, fear, guilt, and betrayal.
But now, if he could not see a smile or happiness, Oliver hoped to see at least any of those negative emotions in her eyes.
But right now, Oliver could see nothing.
It has been weeks…months, in fact, but he had not seen even a speck of emotion in his little sister's eyes.
Olivia's eyes were dull…empty…lifeless.
Although her eyes reflect the beautiful blue sky and ocean beneath them, it looks as if she was seeing nothing. Her eyes were dead.
Oliver could not blame her.
