Outside Hera's mansion a crowd of adventurers and gods gathered to see what had happened the night before. The Hera family's own adventurers guarded the perimeter, so no one could get close.
Inside that crowd watching full of curiosity about the demolition of the training dome, was a goddess with red hair and a sly look. Her eyes remained narrowed, and she smiled with a friendly expression. Beside her stood an elf with emerald hair and taciturn look. While the goddess surrounded by the crowd shouted at the gate guards to give an explanation, the elf watched assessing the situation.
The elf named Riveria, thought that the situation was strange, since even though the Hera family had lost one of their large buildings, no one seemed upset. It was as if the goddess of the family had already given her explanation and the rest is only present to drive away the nosy ones like the goddess Loki next to her.
-Loki- Riveria said in her usual calm tone of voice -I don't think anything major happened. Maybe the three captains were training more seriously than usual-
-Are you dumb?- Loki asked next to her in her usual childish and joking voice, she kept looking at the guards stationed in front of the main gate -nothing is because yes. Surely something important happened and it is our duty to know-
-I think we should avoid problems with Orario's most powerful family-
-You know Hera, she won't do anything to us if we keep everything low-key. You just must find a way to get in and ask her directly, can't you do something against the guards?-
Riveria looked at the guards in front of the metal gate. Maybe in this place they are the low-level adventurers and adventurers, but in the Loki family they would be elite adventurers. Riveria knew some of them only by sight, but she knew that to be at the main gate you had to be at least at level 5, just like her. Even if Riveria herself occupied all her magic and made a quick attack, it would be useless, how many would she manage to reach? And how many of them would be left standing to counterattack? The very idea was crazy.
-It's impossible, plus I don't want to antagonize the goddess Hera- Riviera said.
Loki snapped her tongue and replied -only because she's the stinky elf's wife, it doesn't mean you have to revere her-
-I'm also his wife, but I don't want to create problems within the family-
-They don't even have children!- Loki exclaimed
Riveria blushed like few times, took Loki by the ear, and pulled her out of the crowd that was still demanding answers.
At the same time, Kain and Viggo walked out through the main gate. The squeak of the gate caught everyone's attention and they started screaming for an answer. Inside everything was understandable, as the little adventurers were terrified by the monstrous strength of the level 9 adventurers. If one day those guys lost their sanity, it would be the end for everyone. However, their shout and questions were drowned out by a simple shoe to the cobblestone road that generated a faint tremor.
-Silence!- Kain said, raising his voice as everyone remained silent and scared to death -only the elite adventurers had a more intense training than usual. All this as a preparation for a great incursion. Hera tells you that if you want to unite, you can talk to your gods and talk to her about a collaboration. That's it-
Everyone was made of stone. Usually, the Hera family was only associated with the Zeus and Hephaestus family. For them to let the small families gather around them was a big event. Many rushed out to find their gods, while others did not believe the big news. One of those who did not believe, was Loki, who waited behind the crowd next to Riveria.
Kain and Viggo advanced, making their way through the crowd. Once they left the crowd behind, they walked towards the two women standing on the sidewalk to the right of the great avenue.
-Father- Viggo asked as they moved forward -Is it okay to have said that?-
Kain looked at Riveria standing next to Loki and raised his hand to greet her. Riveria also raised her hand a little and greeted with blushing cheeks -yes, that's fine- he replied with a wide smile -what I said is true, but from there to being able to participate in the Hera family's raid will be quite difficult-
-So, did that happen? Jason and the others went wild and broke the dome. I don't remember anything, but I'm glad you went looking for me. If not, those idiots would have dropped the dome roof over my head-
-In a sense it's true, those idiots became a bit wild- Kain said as he let out a chuckle and stirred Viggo's hair. Kain never thought that his son was an idiot who has a hard time keeping the secret, but it was better to leave him ignorant, especially since Riveria was accompanied by Loki. The goddess of chaos was quite cunning and had enough lip to irritate anyone, even Hera herself.
-Yo!- Loki said casually and amicably as they approached -How are you brats?-
-Better than you, old witch- Viggo replied with a smile on his lips.
-What do you say?- Loki replied in a comical and worried tone -I'm young and pretty-
Viggo let out a chuckle and looked at the goddess from head to toe. Her way of dressing could be considered between bizarre and ordinary, with a two-part breastplate, one that covers her arms and another that covers her almost non-existent breasts. She leaves her stomach in sight, flat and without any sign of fat, while wearing pants that highlight his butt and thighs. At the same time, she wears long stockings that reach the middle of her thighs and finally, blue boots that only reach a little above the ankles. Loki wasn't ugly, but she couldn't be considered pretty either. On the other hand, Riveria at her side, although she dressed as a man, had stylized features, typical of an elf and high nobility.
-Hello, auntie- Viggo said
-Hello Viggo- Riveria replied, then looked at Kain, who approached her and stopped a few centimetres away. She blushed and put on a serious face, threatening Kain with her gaze in case he dared to kiss or hug her in public.
However, Kain only looked into her eyes understanding his wife's character very well. So, he stood at thirty centimetres and said -good morning, what do I owe this pleasant visit to?-
Riveria still looking at Kain with seriousness and blushing cheeks, said -I do not come to see you, it just happens that last night there was a great scandal and the dust that remained after they demolished the dome, attract a lot of attention-
-Ah, that?- said Kain, looking in another direction and scratching his head. Then he looked at Riveria with a smile and said -you see, the boys got a little serious and went over the line-
Riveria narrowed her eyes looking at Kain's smile. She sensed that he was lying, but since Loki was present, she saved her appreciations for the night, when they are in the house and surrounded by family. So, Riviera just nodded to what he said without adding any more questions.
-Hey, Viggo- Loki whispered, approaching him as if the two were confidants -were you training?"-
Viggo frowned and nodded.
-Were you in the dome?-
Viggo nodded again.
-So, you know something? Tell me, please, and I'll give you a super prize-
-I'm not a kid- Viggo said, pushing Loki away from his side -plus why do you want to know about it? Your family isn't even in the top five strongest-
-Ugh- Loki said tragicomically as she clutched her chest as if she had been stabbed in the heart -you do know where to attack-
-I'm just telling the truth, now tell me, why do you want to know?-
-Just curiosity, nothing more- Loki said, throwing out his performance and smiling amicably.
-Lie- Viggo said, frowning and crossing his arms.
-I'm serious, it's just curiosity. Come on, come on, tell the big sister-
-Don't lie to me- Viggo said, stepping forward to confront her -I know you're lying to me-
-Do you read the mind or anything?- Loki asked, taking a step back with a worried expression.
-No, but I can know when you lie to me, now speaks-
-Hey, it was just a little question, almost insignificant-
Viggo snort and turned his back on her.
At the same time, Kain and Riveria were staring at them, as Viggo seemed really angry with Loki. She had only told him a couple of things that shouldn't be for so much. However, he seemed to have been offended by what she said.
Kain looked at Riveria and said -at night we see you, don't miss-
-I wouldn't miss it- Riveria replied
Kain nodded with a smile, walked over to Viggo, and put his hand on his shoulder -come boy, come on- he said -don't go fighting with the hollow head goddess-
-Hey!- Loki protest -I'm listening to you-
Kain turned his face as he smiled, and then looked forward to continuing moving forward.
Loki opened her eyes with a dangerous look and said -something changed-
Riveria came over and asked -What do you mean?-
Loki refused, and her eyes resumed his friendly expression as she folded her arms. Something had happened to Viggo, the boy was always suspicious of her every time she met him in the past, but now in his eyes shone the certainty of someone who knows that they are lying to him. Like every goddess, Loki keeps an eye on the up-and-coming adventurers, and of course, the two half-gods in Orario. Ottar is out of his means, as Freya seems to have thrown her enchantment into the boy. However, Viggo was not affiliated with anyone. If there was a detriment, it is that he was the son of the monster named Kain Dragonroad.
Loki continued to look at Viggo and Kain's back. She put her thumb to her mouth and bit her nail. At the same time, she began to set a pace with her right foot and thought about how to reveal the truth. She let out a scream as if she had gone crazy. Everyone looked at her. She messed up her hair with her hands, then turned around and advanced into the crowd. Everyone saw her in a crazed state and stepped aside. She arrived in front of the guards, who stood firm.
-Step aside, I'm a goddess- Loki said, she moved forward, the guards stepped aside, and she clung to the bars of the big gate and started screaming -Hera, open the damn door. Hera, I know you're looking at me-
Riviera was just staring at her, wanting to get into a hole and hide for eternity. Now she didn't even know what she was going to say when asked who her goddess was. However, although embarrassed, she knew that the goddess of mischief made idiocies, but nothing was just because yes. Even if it was stupid and ridiculous, Loki came closer than anyone else to the Hera family mansion, surpassing even the guards who only took her for a crazy one.
On the other hand, Kain and Viggo were walking towards the city center. As they moved forward, Kain asked him -Why did you get angry with Loki? I know she's annoying, but it's not to make you angry-
-Father doesn't understand- Viggo said, frowning with clear annoyance -that woman, that goddess, has no good intentions with the Hera family-
-Your instincts?-
Viggo nodded, and Kain frowned upon hearing the answer. If Viggo had told him about the same thing before, he would have taken it as an effect of the unserious impression given by the goddess. However, now that Kain understands Viggo's "instincts" more, he takes Loki as a big deal.
