Chapter 20 *Rewritten*

Kai concealed his smile and responded with a subtle nod, indicating his agreement to Fubuki's suggestion.

He was genuinely intrigued to witness how Rika would handle Fubuki's telekinesis and possibly chip away at Fubuki's pride.

Fubuki confidently approached the trio, her fur coat billowing in the breeze, and introduced herself. "Nice to meet you, freshmen. I'm Blizzard of Hell. You know what that entails, right?"

Eyelashes took it upon himself to emphasize Fubuki's position.

"Fubuki-sama is Rank 1 of the B-Class, Blizzard of Hell!"

His stern demeanor was meant to be an intimidating factor, particularly for newer heroes.

"It's a custom for up-and-coming B-Classes to greet Fubuki-sama."

Scathach, however, sensed the brewing trouble and expressed her concerns. Kai's playful grin only confirmed her suspicions, revealing his intention to have them deal with this situation. Fubuki's gaze shifted to albedo,

her piercing green eyes attempting to impose authority and intimidation as she often did with rookies.

However, this approach seemed to have little effect on the two women standing before her, who appeared unfazed by her presence.

"Ignorance does exist in our profession,"

Fubuki sighed, acknowledging the unfortunate reality.

"I'll be frank. Your rivals will destroy you with that ignorance. Work under me, and your position in B-Class will be secured."

Albedo didn't hesitate to express her rejection.

"Don't wanna," she declared, much to Scathach's chagrin. "Kai-sama, bring this chick to the bed. Let's teach her some manners."

Albedo's comment not only caught Fubuki off guard but also prompted both her and Scathach to turn their attention towards Kai.

it didn't take a genius to deduce the connection between Albedo and "kai."

Fubuki's expression shifted, indicating her realization of this connection. "You are acquainted with kai," Fubuki noted, her tone carrying a tinge of annoyance.

"Indeed, that gives you the courage to throw lewd remarks at me."

Albedo couldn't help but chuckle at Fubuki's astonishment. "We're not just acquainted, Miss," she clarified, her tone light-hearted. "That man is our husband and my master''

Fubuki's eyes widened at the revelation. "Our? All of you?" She couldn't believe what she was hearing. "Did he also tempt you with the offer to become S-Class Heroes in the future?"

Fubuki's mind quickly jumped to conclusions, and her frustration seemed to grow as she glared at Kai. In her perception,

he had gone from an unknown S-Class Hero to someone who manipulated others' ambitions for his own gain within the hero business.

Kai sensed the tension rising and realized that trying to explain the situation could only lead to more misunderstanding. Instead,

he simply shrugged nonchalantly, an amused smile tugging at his lips. He was aware that Fubuki's perception of him was bound to change, but he was curious to see how things would unfold.

'No point in stopping this train of thought,' Kai mused internally. It might be entertaining to see Fubuki's reaction evolve over time, especially given her competitive nature and desire for strength.

Albedo took the lead in diffusing the situation, giving Kai a playful pat on the back.

"kai-sama, take care of this chick," she instructed him, accompanied by a wink and a mischievous grin. "Let's go, team!

We gotta finish our mission before the afternoon!"

Kai watched as Albedo and Scathach walked away, their laughter echoing down the street. He turned his attention back to Fubuki, who was still processing the unexpected turn of events.

"Well," he said with a casual smile, "I hope that cleared up some confusion."

Fubuki's expression was a mixture of bewilderment, disbelief, and a touch of irritation. "You're really something else, huh? Bringing them into your... harem and all."

Kai chuckled. "Life is never dull when you're around, Fubuki. If you have any other questions or concerns, feel free to ask. Though I have a feeling this might be an ongoing topic of discussion."

Fubuki huffed, her irritation not entirely fading. "We'll see about that," she muttered, turning to leave. "Don't think I'm done with this conversation, Kai"

Scathach's worried glance towards kai didn't go unnoticed, but before she could voice her concerns, Scathach firmly pulled her away, their laughter fading into the distance as they walked down the street.

"Master, want me to kill her?" scathach asked. "I can make it quick."

Fubuki's response was laced with a mix of irritation and defiance. "I'm not some pig you can slaughter on a whim," she retorted, her voice laced with annoyance.

Scathach, however, took a different approach, her demeanor shifting to something much more unsettling. "In my eyes, you are just an ant," she stated, her voice cold and her red eyes piercing.

A palpable pressure emanated from Scathach's gaze, and Fubuki found herself almost frozen in place. It was as if she stood before a monstrous force, one that could obliterate her without a second thought.

The realization hit her like a tidal wave – the silver-haired beauty before her wasn't just any B-Class hero, but an S-Class Hero of incredible power.

The weight of Scathach's presence left Fubuki breathless. She had encountered many formidable opponents in her career, but this was different.

It wasn't just power that emanated from Scathach; it was an aura of dominance and authority that could crush her very will.

Fubuki's competitive nature, however, refused to let her back down completely. Though fear was gnawing at the edges of her consciousness, she managed to keep her composure.

"Well, if that's how you see me, then I suppose I'll have to change your perspective," she replied, her voice defiant despite the fear she felt.

Even her subordinates stepped back, sweat trickling down from their foreheads.

Fubuki's wide eyes remained fixed on Scathach even as Kai approached her and gently patted her shoulder, attempting to break her from the grip of fear that had taken hold. Her heart raced, and the unease lingered even after his touch.

"Did you wet your panties out of fear?" he whispered in her ears.

"You can trust me. I won't tell anyone."

Fubuki's cheeks reddened, a mix of embarrassment and irritation surfacing.

"Shut up," she muttered, not entirely appreciating his attempt to lighten the tension.

"No." Fubuki hung her head before she glared at him. "What are you? Why is that woman so powerful? I have never seen her on any hero ranking."

Scathach, who utterly terrified her, was calling Kai as her master. Not even a friend, but Master — completely subservient position. She was utterly baffled.

Fubuki's anger mixed with confusion as Asahi's words cut through her thoughts. The burning sensation on her forehead only added to her irritation, and she resisted the urge to rub at the sore spot.

"You're saying you can make me an S-Class Hero?" Fubuki scoffed, a hint of skepticism in her voice. She had always strived for that rank, and hearing him speak so casually about it grated on her pride.

She was vastly inferior to him in psychokinesis. Her group of B-Class Heroes meant nothing when he already had an S-Class equivalent hero under him. She wasn't rich, nor was she influential like her Tatsumaki. The realization frustrated her once more.

Kai's gaze remained steady, his expression calm. "I'm not saying it will be easy, and I'm certainly not offering it out of charity. But with the right training and guidance, you have the potential to reach that level."

Fubuki's mind raced, torn between her determination to prove herself and her hesitation to accept help from someone she considered an outsider. "And what do you get out of all this? Why would you bother helping me?"

He pointed at her forehead. She watched in curiosity… until he flicked her, and a burning feeling covered her forehead. "

What?! Don't hit me." Fubuki glared at him with tears brimming in her eyes. She wanted to stomp the ground and scream at him; she might have done it if she hadn't met Kai before and got her ass kicked.

"Idiot, you don't have anything," Kai spoke with no hint of emotion. "Right now, that is. I can attest to your potential. Correct guidance will nurture you into a top-tier fighter. Easily an S-Class Hero."
