THE WEREWOLF IS...

The man also saw her, and that was why he hastily walked toward her before stopping right in front of her. "How was the talk with Mrs. Edevane, My Lady?" He politely asked.

It was her manager, or perhaps it could be said that he was her servant.

There were only three major vampire clans in the world, and the other vampires who weren't part of the three clans practically became servants of those stronger vampires.

It was also like that among humans, right? The strong ones would become masters, while the weak needed to listen to their every command.

It was always been like that in the vampire's world, and Simon Randal had been Bancrofts' servant for many years. Evie thought that the man's actual age was past one hundred and fifty years, and since he had not been able to drink werewolf blood since he turned one hundred years old, his face looked quite old, and that was why humans often thought that Simon was even older than Dana.

But Simon was different from Evie who really cared about her appearance. He was just a humble servant with the disguise of an actress manager, and he didn't care even if his face grew old with time. He also knew that he would eventually die, but he didn't think much of it either.

"Same old answer. She still hasn't found any werewolves in this town and neighboring towns, and that's why she asked me to accept my fate to start getting the fine lines on my face," annoyed, Evie answered her manager's question.

Her high heels once again hit the marble floor continuously as she walked towards the elevator not far from the CEO's office.

Today was her day off, but she intentionally came to the CEO's office to talk to the CEO about how she started getting wrinkles on her face, but the CEO didn't seem to care much about that.

'But I shouldn't have been surprised by that,' Evie thought to herself as she continued walking. 'After all, that woman often said that I should appear more natural because I'm pretending to be human now, and being natural means that I should let myself age little by little. That sounds simple, but I just can't imagine myself looking like a grandma when I don't even have a grandchild!'

The blonde vampire even complained about her single status, and her mood was getting worse for sure.

Simon could see how annoyed his master was after walking out of the CEO's office, and he could only follow the woman until they stopped walking in front of the elevator.

He stood slightly behind his master, but Evie could somehow sense something was wrong with the old man. Hence, she glanced back slightly, and she could discover how the man was nervously fiddling with his fingers.

"What is it?" Not wanting to beat around the bush, Evie immediately questioned the man.

At this moment, the elevator door opened, and Evie chose to enter the elevator first rather than wait for Simon to answer her question. Simon once again followed her as he stood slightly behind her once they were in the elevator.

The elevator started to descend, but Simon still looked unsure, and Evie could see the expression in the reflection in front of her. The elevator was indeed made of shiny silver metal, and that was why their faces were reflected on the surface. Thus, Evie could tell that her manager was hesitating at the moment.

"I remember that I also asked you to find information on the whereabouts of werewolves. Did you manage to find anything, Simon?" Finally, it was Evie who broke the silence in the elevator.

In the reflection in the elevator doors, Evie could see how her manager flinched slightly at her question.

"I... I don't dare get ahead of Mrs. Edevane, My Lady. Mrs. Edevane said that there is no news of the presence of werewolves in this town and neighboring towns, and therefore I dare not say otherwise," right after Simon finished explaining, a soft 'ding' sound sounded when the elevator doors slowly opened, and Evie immediately out of the silver object.

They had reached the basement where Simon had parked the car, but instead of heading straight for the vehicle, Evie stopped in front of the elevator, and Simon couldn't help but stop in his tracks as well.

"So, you're going to say that you managed to find something?" Evie asked the older vampire.

Again, Simon seemed to hesitate as he tried to avoid her gaze, but then he timidly nodded his head in response to his master's question.

"That's good news, but you dare not tell me about it? Don't you want to see me stay healthy and young?" Annoyed, Evie confronted her manager again.

Evie could be insensitive at times, and that was why she didn't seem to realize how terrified her manager was. Instead of letting her manager have a peaceful mind, she continued to exert pressure on the old man even if it was only in the form of silent stares.

Those silent stares were enough to stress the poor servant out, and he finally dared to look at the woman again and said, "It's not like that, My Lady. I just don't dare tell the truth about the werewolf because the werewolf is dangerous."

Simon said "The werewolf," and Evie could tell right away that the man was talking about one werewolf and not a pack of werewolves.

"Every werewolf is dangerous, and I know about that so well. However, their numbers cannot be compared to ours now, and that's why there is nothing to be afraid of a single wolf. Am I right?"

Evie sounded confident in her opinion, but Simon didn't look so sure as he sheepishly said, "I know all werewolves are dangerous, but my informant said this one is particularly dangerous, My Lady. The person I hired to gather more information on the werewolf said that the werewolf is... crazy. He is insane, My Lady! You should stay away from him!"
