THE LONE WOLF

"Your name is Treznor Lucian Maccon, and you are twenty-nine years old this year. You are from the Darkest Night Pack, and you are the only one left in that pack. You are an Alpha, and your father is the last True Alpha in your pack. You were supposed to be the leader of your pack in the future, but how could you become one when you have no followers anymore?

All of your pack members died in a pack war eleven years ago. Three packs of werewolves were involved in a war that took place in the Pine Forest which was located on an island far from Barevale Town, and the Black Claw Pack came out victorious because they managed to seize the entire island.

At that time, all of your pack members were slaughtered by the werewolves of the Black Claw Pack, but you managed to escape at the expense of your parents. You were homeless, and you started living in Barevale Town from then on.

Even though it wasn't easy for you, you managed to adapt to the way humans live their lives, and you were even able to start working like a normal human. In the end, our fates even crossed at the resort yesterday."

Even if the werewolf named Treznor didn't say anything in return, Evie kept talking, and she even talked about detailed information about the werewolf. Of course, she wasn't one to gather information. Instead, it was Simon who helped her gather information about the werewolf.

Werewolves were not like vampires who could live long. While a vampire could live for hundreds of years, a werewolf would not be too different from a human. They would age like humans, and they would eventually die too. However, their strength and immunity were much better than that of humans, and that was why they could usually live for over a hundred years.

Even a vampire's physical strength couldn't compare to a werewolf even if they could outlive a werewolf. If they had to fight barehanded, the werewolves would win easily, but why did the vampires have to fight barehanded when they had supernatural powers within them?

That was why werewolves often came out as losers if they happened to fight vampires, and that was the reason why werewolves chose to avoid friction with vampires.

Unfortunately, a werewolf named Treznor wasn't so lucky as he ended up meeting a stubborn vampire like Evie Bancroft.

The werewolf named Treznor continued to ignore her even if he finally raised his head to look at her, and Evie was not pleased by this as she sighed heavily. 'People usually shouted my name in awe, and they also always looked at me with eyes full of heart, but this big dog only has a knife in his eyes when he's looking at me,' she couldn't help but feel rejected.

"You have lived in Barevale Town for the last eleven years, right?" The Vampire Queen continued. "Even if that small town cannot be compared to Northshear City, I'm pretty sure some news can still be heard by the people of Barevale, including how humans started to suspect the existence of werewolves. You must have heard of that too, right?"

It turned out that Evie was still giving the prologue before she jumped right into the main story, and she could see how the werewolf's body tensed a little after hearing what she had just said.

Not so sneakily, the Vampire Queen smirked at the man before continuing, "You are the last werewolf of your pack, and I don't even know any other werewolves in this city. You are just a lone wolf in this noisy world, and no one is going to save you if humans manage to find out the truth about your identity. If that happens, then your body will be brought to the operating table, and you will be able to feel the knife slicing your body little by little.
