Evan's POV:

I continued to search. Rushing into each and every room I could find. But nothing.

"EVAN!" Screamed an all too familiar voice that I was desperate to hear. However I couldn't be relieved quite yet as he sounded seriously distressed and he was pretty far away.

I quickly closed the distance between us. From just that one word, I could instantly pinpoint his location. Focusing every one of my senses to his location to figure out the situation before I got there.

"THUD!"

There was someone else with him and they had just attacked him from what I could gather. I didn't need to see the face of the attacker to know who it was.

I burst into the room. The sight before me sent me into a rage. The Man from earlier was on top of Lucas and was feeling him up with a lustful grin. Lucas was kicking and screaming for me and telling the man to let him go.

I just saw red and launched myself at the attacker. So much anger had swelled up inside me. The panic. The fear. The doubt. The rage.

I released everything I had on this man, sending him flying, banging against the wall. I didn't even spare a second to glance at Lucas again. I just launched attack after attack onto this man. Punch after punch. Bruising his face beyond recognition.

The hate I felt towards this male was beyond indescribable.

I finished him off with a slow pressure placed onto his heart. Slowly crushing his heart. One of the most painful deaths a vampire can experience. "Disgusting pig!" I spat as the last words he'd ever hear.

Until his heart popped and he began to fade into ash.

I stood there panting. Heavy breaths that echoed in the room. I only then turned around to check up on Lucas.

He was mortified. He was already in a very disheveled state, with his pants buttons undone, shirt pulled up half way, revealing parts of his chest. His cheeks stained with tears he had shed earlier and his mouth hung open with shock and horror. And the most hurtful thing was that he was looking at me like that.

"Ar- Are you okay?" I mumbled a sigh of relief.

He didn't speak. Only watched in terror as I stepped further forward towards him.

I would of taken this moment alot more slowly and carefully but I was short for time and there were sure to be a crowd of people who heard Lucas's screaming and my fight.

So with the footsteps and chatter of people getting closer I grabbed Lucas and dashed out the back, running back home.

He didn't react, just accepted my actions and let me do as I pleased, allowing me to take control of the fragile situation. We didn't utter a word to each other on the way back home. He was probably still in shock.

We arrived home and I proposed a shower to Lucas but he just stood there. So I helped him undress and I washed him, rinsing his hair and massaging shampoo into it. He didn't say a word. Nothing. Like he was stuck in shock.
