Unseen Saviours

Lisa can't believe what is happening right now.

She thought she would be stuck on that dull and faded place forever, never seeing her sister again. Imagine her surprise when a black robot with a sinister red visor suddenly appears to save her.

Then, she is now being carried like a princess as they walk passed the guards. They aren't even looking at them, like they are not seeing them.

Which is true. They are really unseen right now.

She didn't know where they are taking her, but feeling the gentle way they carried her makes her feel so safe. It's unlike those men who have been rough for her since coming to this place.

She didn't know where these robots came from. He recall something from a long time about a large community calling themselves the Grandel Empire, which seems to be on another region and are known for their advanced technology.

'Did my saviour originated from that community?'

She feels complicated right now. She's glad that she is being saved, though she would have preferred if she also sees her sister.

As they left the walls of this wretched outpost and got to the distance where the trees can hide them, her eyes widened when she saw all the people from the outpost sitting on the ground while being taken care of by the robots.

Along with the robots are some beautiful ladies wearing a maid uniform. She wonders where they got something like that in this age. Their clothes seems to be made by something high quality, and all of these beautiful ladies were wearing it, so she is very curious.

Another surprise came on her way when she heard a familiar voice calling out to her.

"Lisa!?"

Turning, she saw her sister with her hood down, staring at her with her eyes wide.

Going back in time for a bit.

Bridgette has been moving around the outpost, looking for any flaws from their security.

It's been a long time since then. She kept going around for a chance to meet her sister.

Brigg have created a strong security on his basement, which identifies whether an intruder is there or not. It is something that came from his system, which seems to be capable of registering every person he sees as friendly.

So even with her superpowers, she can't sneak on the basement.

She knows her sister is on the basement. The security is the only thing that is holding her back.

Her ability enables her to become invisible to the naked eyes. Even if someone senses her, her presence will only register as that of a normal person, which can fool even experts of this world.

So she acts as the mole within this place. Passing the information to the group that helps her and taking the opportunity to go around the outpost.

After a tiring walk, she sighs in frustration.

"Nothing. It seems like I'll have to stay for a bit more."

While feeling frustrated at that, she saw a commotion happening on one of the cottages.

Feeling curious, she sneaks on that area and see one of Brigg's men shouting on someone from inside.

Her eyes narrowed dangerously, thinking that they are oppressing some people without reason again, when a surprising sight suddenly appears in front of her eyes.

A black humanoid robot suddenly appears besides the guy. It's arm seems to be blur before the guy suddenly fell to the ground, the white of his eyes showing.

Then the robot turned to her, causing her to almost shriek.

'Wait, it's seeing me!?'

Without giving her enough time react, the robot swiftly got closer to her. It's arms wide and seems to be going to do something to her.

'I'm done for!' She closes her eyes instinctively.

She waited for something to happen. Not feeling anything other the feeling of weightlessness, she slowly opened her eyes and see her being carried by the robot.

On the periphery of her vision, she can see a group of malnourished and dirty people leaving the cottage along with another robot, who seems to have nodded to the robot carrying her.

Then, she felt their presence vanishing, along with all the people that left the cottage awhile ago. Surprised, she tries to look around but she can't due to the robot moving and going straight to the gates.

She looks at the guards who are unaware of any of this happening and see them not even glancing. It's like they are nonexistent.

'What is happening!?'

While feeling dumbfounded, they arrived at a clearing that is a fair distance away from the outpost. The robot kneeled and let her land on the ground gently. She felt a bit flattered at the gentlemanly act of the robot.

Then when she took her attention on the clearing, she widened her eyes when she sees a lot of people gathered there. Her eyes almost bulges out when she found a familiar face within the gathered people.

"Lisa!?"

In a way that she isn't expecting, she met her sister once again.

While this is happening, the expedition group are currently camping on the woods. The tents and campfires are all courtesy from Brigg's System.

Of course, the one who prepared all of it for them are the workers. Even if it's pretty easy to erect the tents, they leave all the job to the workers.

They are only here to keep an eye on them. Anyone who tries to run away will be shot to death.

While the twelve groups of workers were eating their hard breads and their tasteless soup, Hughes and his trusted aides were having fun on the RV Van.

This one also originated from Brigg's and have been entrusted by him. Brigg still have two spares of it on his garage, so he gave this one away.

"Hahaha... drink your fill boys! Tomorrow, we will go and find the corpse of the Primal Bear!"

Hughes wholeheartedly believes that the Primal Bear is dead, and it's corpse is somewhere on the forest. If he got that, he is planning to sneak some of it's materials on his pocket and use it for his own benefit.

Hughes isn't really loyal to Brigg. He only sticks with him because he is scared of him.

He still remembers what Brigg do to those who opposed him. He is ruthless when it comes to his enemies.

That doesn't mean he is not planning to escape. He wanted to leave Brigg's grasps if he finds the chance.

He knows he can't really sway these men to his side. Brigg's System always warns him whenever someone is trying to do so.

So his only plan is to escape and flee to the next region. He will try and build his own group from there.

And if he got the chance. He will take his revenge, and make sure that Brigg suffers from the humiliation he is having.

He didn't care if Brigg is becoming amicable. He didn't like being ordered like a dog. He wants to be the person in charge.

He will make sure to take a bit of blood from the Primal Bear. He hopes that Brigg's System let him go with that.

As they are busy having fun and eating some Military Rations, which are more delicious than what the workers are eating right now, they didn't know that something is happening outside their RV Van.

The people who are standing guard and overlooking the gathered workers on the campfire were suddenly knocked by a mysterious force.

Then, the people freaks out when they suddenly found themselves being encircled by a robotic army. They just appeared out of nowhere without anyone sensing them.

"Who...!?"

["We're here to save you"]

One of the robots said as it stretches it's arms to and gestured for them to reach it.

The people are a bit hesitant.

They have been oppressed by Brigg for almost a year now. They know what happens to those who dares fight the leader of that gang. They didn't want to risk it.

Their families are even there, stuck along with his men. Even if they come with them, they aren't sure what will happen to their family.

Noticing their reluctance, the Alientech Scout tries to reassure them.

["Don't worry. We have already rescued the others."]

They are still doubtful. They don't know where these mechanical units came from.

"How can we know that your telling the truth?" One of the old guy said.

The robot stayed silent for a bit, seemingly trying to process something, before it's red visors lit up.

They gasped, and prepared for something worst to happen. But the only thing that happened is that a holographic screen appearing and seeing the familiar group of faces of their family and friends.

"Ooooooooo!?" The old man who asked awhile ago screamed in surprise.

The others are also exclaiming their own expression of shocked, surprised, and incomprehension. They can't understand what's happening anymore.

Their family on the other side of the screen looks at them with their eyes widened before they wave their hands excitedly. They can see some beautiful maids taking care of them and giving them some boxes that seems to contain food.

["We are going to take you a safe place. Please follow us."]

The people are now convinced. Their family are truly safe.

Though, they still don't know how they will escape here. There are a lot of them, and it's impossible to sneak out of the guards' encirclement without being noticed.

["Don't worry. We have taken care of every hostiles."]

Hearing the robot reassuring them, they decided to go for it.

They are already tired of being oppressed by A tyrant. They wanted to take a hold of their freedom.

A chance has occured in front of them. There is a large risk that Brigg can defeat these robots, but they wanted to take it now. They might regret it if they didn't take the chance right now.

There are still some who are stubborn and isn't believing them, thinking that this is just a great ruse to entertain Hughes, so some of the robots stayed here to persuade them.

Their Master ordered them to rescue everyone and incapacitate the hostiles when they try to stop them. So even if some of them are stubborn, they will try and persuade them to come with them.

These stubborn people just didn't believe that they can handle Brigg, or even Hughes for that matter. They didn't want to be punished. All they wanted is to have food.

Though when they see the group who wanted to take the risk vanishing on thin air, their eyes widened and demanded an answer to the robots.

It is pretty rude, but these robots didn't mind their attitude and just answered them.

["We can extend our Stealth Dome to the other targets so they will be undetectable even from an esoteric means of detection. We will use our Stealth Dome to sneak out."]

The stubborn people are now convinced. They just see an example of that awhile ago after all.

The robots quickly takes care of grouping up the oppressed people and hiding them with their Stealth Dome. While that is happening, any men who have seen this happening and is planning to expose them were quickly incapacitated.

This is also happening to any expedition groups right now.

Thus, after several hours, Hughes and his trusted men can only stare in incomprehension as they saw their guards lying unconscious on the ground and the absence of their workers.

"What the hell happened here!?" He yelled, his face getting red in anger.

The night ended like that.

Sorry for the long delay. I think I am pretty tired right now.

I didn't thought that the quality is dropping. I'm bad at noticing it.

Sorry if the quality is dropping. I'll try and just do my best on the next chapters....
