By evening, they had returned home, the tension palpable in the air. Dominique had taken Liam aside upon their arrival, his voice raised in a heated conversation before eventually dismissing him. The staff, sensing their boss's volatile mood, wisely chose to keep their distance, giving him a wide berth.
As they sat down for dinner later that evening, the atmosphere remained charged. Kalina, trying to break the ice, asked, "Why are you still so angry?"
In response, Dominique gripped his utensil so tightly that Kalina feared it might bend under the pressure.
"You really need anger management classes," she remarked, her gaze shifting from his clenched hand to his face, only to find him glaring at her.
"Did you enjoy being embarrassed like that?" he questioned, his eyebrows raised in curiosity.
"Obviously not," Kalina replied, "but I still think getting her fired was a bit extreme."
