Mia and Kalina had filled their carts with a plethora of home decor items, yet the vibrant colors and patterns seemed unable to lift Kalina's spirits.
Mia noticed the downturn in Kalina's mood, her own expression shifting to a subtle frown. While Mia believed Aiden was undeserving of Kalina's tears and worries, she recognized the depth of Kalina's feelings for him. Mia could only hope that one day Kalina would direct that same level of care and affection towards her.
"How about we go get some ice cream?" Mia suggested, stealing a quick glance at Kalina as she drove, making a last-ditch effort to brighten her friend's day.
Mia had initially planned to meet Kalina at her flower shop to start hashing out details for their respective parts of the wedding plans as per Joline's request even if the wedding date hasn't been picked yet.
However, seeing Kalina's distress, she knew priorities had shifted. The wedding plans could certainly wait.
