It rained even harder at night.

I looked at the clean hospital gown in the bathroom and closed the bathroom door quietly. Looking at Logan, who had fallen asleep on the sofa, I could only go back to my bed.

The rainy night was always noisy but reassuring.

"Hazel?"

I closed my eyes and snuggled up in the quilt.

Logan slowly walked over, squatted by the bed, and caressed my face with his cool hands.

I clutched the quilt and didn't intend to respond.

I determined to pretend to be asleep.

Logan held my hand and carefully kissed the back of it.

"Don't drive me away...

"When I was in the hospital, I waited every day for you to come and see me, but after waiting for days, I realized that you had abandoned me...

"I just want to see you."

Logan's voice sounded like he was enduring acute pain. He sobbed, "So this is what it feels like to be ignored... I'm sorry."
