It's a sunny morning in May and school started roughly a month ago. The school is lively and everyone seems to be in a relatively good mood. The sunlight seeps in through the window I'm sitting next to. Class hasn't started yet and the teacher isn't here. Students are conversing with each other and some are laughing.
I'm staring out the window until I hear a voice.
"Kenji? You alright?" I hear an energetic voice ask curiously.
I look in front of me and I see a girl with long brown hair that reaches up to the back of her knees. She has middle-parted bangs and light brown eyes. Her eyes gleam and glow in the sun and her cheeks are rosy. Her eyelashes are long and thick and her lips are pinkish and more on the plump side. It's the girl who sits directly in front of me, Sami.
"Hm? Yeah, why?"
"You've just been so blanked out. It's lunch time, you know?"
What?
Everything stops dead in its tracks for me. I can hear my heartbeat in my head and I go to check the time.
She's correct, it's lunchtime already.
"Oh... Alright then, I'll head to the cafeteria."
I quickly walk out of the room and head towards an empty corridor. I'm freaking out.
What the hell.. I didn't even see the teacher coming in... Matter of fact, I haven't seen her at all today. I didn't look at her before exiting the room, and I didn't hear the bell either.
I take a seat on the floor against the wall.
Something isn't right
"You too, huh?" I hear a feminine voice next to me.
I look up and see a girl with short, silver hair that almost reaches her shoulders. I didn't get a good look, but that's all I can identify.
"Huh? What do you mean?"
While standing, she leans forward.
"It's been a month and you couldn't tell already? Do things not feel $#%(*(%*#($*#(*$#%f4ke????????????????????"
WOAH!
"Kenji, what's wrong?" She asks.
