I don't think.

I reacted.

“I have to go. I have to go, right now.”

Stuffing my phone back in my bag, I was already scrambling out before Thomas could even say anything.

My blood pounded.

Fury ripped through my veins like a never ending water fall.

“Where in the hell are you going Ginger?” Thomas says loudly as I unbuckled my seat belt.

The Traffic was long and by this time I'll only reach home by nightfall.

“I-I have to get home.”

Thomas raised both eyebrows as if what he was hearing was the most stupidest thing he's ever heard.

“Isn't that where we're going?”

“You don't understand!” I shout, voice filled with desperation and fear. All I could think about was, Hailey was hurt.

Hailey was hurt.

And I wasn't there.

Thomas blinks in surprise and alarm at my outburst.
