How dare she

"Your jokes are expensive" Liam glared at her.

"I'm not joking. I'm damn serious, I don't want to get married" Olivia said.

"What? Why?" He looked at her confused by what she just said. Was she kidding right now?

"I have my reasons but I still love you," she said.

"What reasons would make you not marry me? What stupid reason?" His voice was becoming deeper.

"But I love you," she said.

"You love me and you don't want to get married to me, why then did you come into my life?" He asked.

"Stop saying that, you know I love you," Olivia said.

"Why did you come into my life? Why?" He asked. He was surprised when she said she wasn't marrying him. All the girls envied her and wished they had a special place in his heart and here she was spilling nonsense.

"I'm not ready for another argument" she walked away.

The next day when Olivia woke up, her stomach growled with hunger. Her nose caught the scent of food in the air. She wore her slippers and followed the scent of food to the kitchen where Liam was making breakfast. She marveled at how romantic he was, he was making breakfast to settle with her for the last night's little argument. It was obvious he had been cooking for a while due to the sweat gathered on his forehead. She reached out for him and hugged him.

"Good morning," she said planting a kiss on his shoulder.

"Hmm" he frowned slightly. He was supposed to surprise her with the food as settlement for last night quarel. If she didn't want to get married he won't force her, moreover she loved him. She had her reasons, so he won't quarel with her about it anymore.

"I thought of bringing the food to the bedroom"

"You know we didn't hire the maids for decoration" she said.

"Wait for me at the dining, the food is almost ready" he said and she headed for the dining room.

"I will take my bath until" she said. She called out for Angelica her maid. She has been working here even before Olivia met her boss. Olivia took Angelica as a little sister, and she gave her all her trust. She told Angelica her dark secret which she vowed not to tell anyone not even her fiancee.

Unknown to her, Angelica was secretly having a crush on her boyfriend. She had worked for him and hoped one day, he would have her as his mistress. Not until, he came home with a woman and since then her anger for Olivia was boiling gradually. Angelica wasn't foolish, she had been on Olivia's side and made her tell her all her secret. Angelica had slight hope of making Liam hers and she looked forward to be on his bed with him one day.

"Ma'am" she bowed her head.

"Maker my bath ready" Olivia said and watched her little servant walked out of her view.

Angelica did what she was instructed to do and left back to duty. Olivia brushed her teeth, washed her body and wore an outfit for work. When she stepped closer to the table, she saw her favorite food. He had made fried rice and eggs. Olivia ate heartily. Once she was done, she looked up at Liam who wasn't done yet.

"I'm leaving for work" she said and he nodded for her to go. She stood up and headed for the door.

Once she reached her office, one of the employees notified her that the executives for the contract were downstairs at the private room. Olivia nodded and got to the private room, she saw about five to six companies executives waiting for her.

"I apologize for my lateness" she said and walked inside the room.

The executives stared at her blank. How could she arrive late for work? They had agreed upon a certain time to discuss the contract. It was extremely unprofessional to not arrive on time on such meeting.

"First of all I have read the contract and we've decided to invest in it" she said. "But the benefits is horrible and lower than expected"

Suddenly, they began murmuring within themselves.

Their attention was caught on the man who walked inside. They held their breaths as they bowed and he walked past them. Not a single person dared to move until he stood close to Olivia. He took the papers from her and read the contract. What a stupid contract.

"This meeting is dismissed" he said. Without any word, the people stood up from their chair and left. Olivia marveled at how their expression changed quickly. One minute, they were grumbling about the contract and the next minute they became silent. This boyfriend of hers was really a big shot.

"What is today's schedule?" He asked Olivia.

"The Cha's wants us to invest in their company. Their stock has decreased this year by 70%" she said.

"Decline it" he stood up and headed for the door. Olivia followed him to his office and she sat down opposite him.

"I think we should invest on their company. It will give us great benefits" she said.

"You do?" He asked. The love he had for Olivia was indescribable. He always agreed to whatever she desires and every inch of his heart craved for her. Who would have thought this heartless man was capable for love?

"Yes" she nodded.

"Ok you can go on" he said and turn on the laptop.

After Sophia got ready for work the next day, she clicked the elevator button and went down. Her driver was already waiting for her outside. She got inside the car and drove to work. Just then, a car coming towards their direction hit her car and the shock sent her sprawling. She was glad she put on her seat belts. She looked up to the driver who was also shocked for what had happened. He was bleeding from his forehead.

"Ohh my God you're bleeding" Sophia stared at his forehead.

"I'm fine ma'am" he touched the spot that was bleeding.

"No you're not" she got down from the car ready to lash at whoever hit their car.

"Are you sick in the head? Why would you hit my car? Or did the car suddenly turn invisible?"

"I'm sorry ma'am" the man came down from the car pleading.

"Where you blind or what?" She yelled at him.

"I'm sorry" the man bowed his head.

"That's enough!" Sophia heard a voice from inside the car and she swirl around only to see a semi-god. His physical features exquisite made him more handsome. He had thin lips and pointed nose.

"Enough of what?" She asked the man inside the car.

"He already apologized moreover you didn't sustain any injury" he came down from the car.

"But my driver did!" She yelled.

The man instantly misunderstood her. She wanted him to only apologize for his driver's carelessness but he thought she was indirectly demanding money for hospital bills. Of course what else would he have expected from a woman like her.

He signaled his driver to bring his check book. He flipped it open and signed his name and wrote as many zeros he could put in it. He ripped the slip and handed it to her.

"Since you want money for the treatment here is it. So can I go now?"

Sophia cursed inwardly. He was insinuating her as some sort of gold-diggers who has no morals. Who did he think he was that money could buy everything? All she wanted was an apology from him and he was giving her money to pay back the damage he did. Sophia took him by surprise when she suddenly tore the papers into shreds.

"Why did you do that?" He asked. Wasn't the zeros enough?

She threw the shreds of papers into his face and he went quiet. Not only was she a gold-digger, she was also disrespectful. How dare she? Didn't she know who he was? He was among the top leading richest men of the country.

"I don't need your money!" She yelled and went back into the car and drove to the mall. She instructed her driver to treat himself.
