10 Funeral

Aimee comes out of the shower and sees Riku with a cellphone on his hand. "What is it?" He startles. "Huh?" "Was it Aki?"

She dries her hair with a towel. "No..it's your father." She paused and looks at him. "Father?"

She tilts her head in confusion. "Why would he..?" Riku puts his cellphone on the table and walks towards her. "Aimee." "Hmm?"

Both of his hands are on her arms, he looks at her in the eye. "Your father said that..." "Hmm?" "He said your mom has passed away." Her eyes widen. "W-what?"

She looks away and tries to think. "Aimee." "No....she wouldn't leave me." She takes his hands off of her.

"You're joking, right?" "Aimee." "No. No. She wouldn't...she wouldn't leave me." Riku grabs her and pulls her close. "We'll leave first thing in the morning."

Next morning, they head home. Aimee didn't say much through the trip. Riku holds her hand tight. As soon as they arrives, they head to the hospital.

Her heart stops when she sees her mom. "Mom." She walks closer and takes her hand. "Mom." Tears falling down on her cheeks.

"Mommy." (How..how did this happen? She was fine.) "Wake up. Mommy. Wake up."

She turns to Riku. "Tell her to wake up, Riku. Tell her." She keeps on hitting him. "Tell her, Riku." She cries.

Riku is making a painful expression after seeing her cry. He hugs her tight. "Why....why does she have to go..?"

"I'm here. I'll find out if it's really an accident..." She push him away. "No. It can't be an accident. I don't believe it." She sniffs.

Riku nods. "I'll have someone to investigate about her death. But now let's go home. You need to sleep. You didn't sleep through the trip." She nods.

Few days later, they held a funeral for Lilia. Aimee stays by the casket. (There's only one person who would do this...Kelly. I won't sit and do nothing.)

She looks at her mom's peaceful expression. (At least you're no longer in pain.) she touches her mom's face. "Mom." (I wish I could stay with you before you go. I'm sorry.)

Soon they went to the burial site. Riku stays by Aimee's side.

Next day, while Aimee is still sleeping, Riku calls Hector. "Go investigate her mother's death. Keep me update." He ends the call.

He heads to the bed and sits on her side of the bed. He reaches out and stroke her hair. "I'll find that person who's responsible for your mom's death, Aimee."

Later that day, Aimee gets up and notices Riku isn't next to her. She heads out of the bed and looks for him. (Where is he? Is he with Hector?)

She also went to look for Hector but they both are no where to find. (Hm.) She went to ask one of the maids. "Ah they both went out." Aimee nods.

She heads back to her room and pulls out her sketches. She starts doodling for her new children book while waiting for Riku's return.

As hours pass by, she takes a break and notices it gotten dark out. She heads out and see if he's home but he isn't. She sighs. (Where are you?)

Hector gets in the car. He calls Riku. "What did you find?" "They deleted the footage. But I retrieved it. I already email to you." "Okay. Check the security camera in the parking lot. If that person has a accomplice." "I understand."

Riku Who was in his office, he gets into his computer and checks his emails. He opens an email that he receives from Hector.

He knits his brows as soon as he sees Kelly. (Her again?) He then calls Aimee's uncle. "It's me, Riku. We need to talk."
