How It all began

"pass the ball!" Jack shouted from the other end of the yard.

Jack, Joe and George were currently playing football at the backyard of Joe's house. George who was much older than them was leading the game by a wide margin.

As Joe made to pass the ball, George blocked the path causing the ball to bounce high and over the fence.

"Quick Jack! Go get the ball" Joe called out.

Jack quickly ran out and across the street to get the ball. As he crossed the street without looking, a van driving on top speed knocked him down.....or did it?

When Jack had seen the van it was too late to avoid. He tried his best to run off the van's path though he knew that Hannah, futile. And then .... like a lightning flash, he found himself at the other side of the road.

The driver of the van quickly came down from the van as soon as he applied the brakes.

"Oh no. What have I done‽"

Joe and George hearing the man's cry ran out also.

"What happened?"George inquired.

"I just knocked down a boy..."

"I'm fine!". Jack interrupted as he walked towards them.

"Didn't you just say that you knocked him down?", a disbelieving Joe questioned the driver who now had surprise written all over his face.

"I ....I knocked him down" the man stammered as he couldn't understand what was happening.

"You seem like another drunk driver.." George said pitiably.

" I'm..."

" He's not drunk," Jack clarified.

"He actually ran into me. But, somehow, I outran the van"

"You can go, sir. I'm fine", Jack signalled the driver as he made his way to the gate.

"Are you kidding right now‽", Joe screamed.

If what he just heard was right, Jack had just unlocked his magic.

"That's exactly what happened. I really ran very fast", Jack confirmed.

"congrats", Joe said in a low tone

"What's up with you. Aren't you happy?"

"Why should I? Are you really just gonna leave? Don't join hands with those that killed our parents"

"I didn't choose to be a bearer.."

"Exactly. Just stay here and neglect it. It would eventually get suppressed and die naturally "

"Is that a good idea? Something makes me just want to go" Jack said.

"Go then! I hate you, brother" Joe said as he turned his back and began to leave the room. Jack quickly ran across the room and blocked his path.

"Please, you need to understand that this is our way of getting revenge" Jack said trying to convince him.

"Don't you ever use this magic thing around me. Please yourself!" Joe blurted out as he pushed Jack to the side.
