ITS GIVING SOMETHING

Great. We are stuck in a hole, inside a hole that is a cave. How ironic" Benjamin spoke in frustration.

"Maybe it's a good thing" Zander responded, mocking that in the beginning, he said falling into the cave was a good thing. Benjamin gave her a hard stare. Prince, on the other hand, raised his phone looking for a signal to play his game. "Dang it. Still no signal

"You promised." Braun looked at Nicolette in disappointment. Her eyes glazed back and forth hoping for someone to say something. As she was about to speak, he spoke again "now it's darker and they can roam freely"

Benjamin pushed Braun away "How did you meet us?"

THIRTY MINUTES AGO

"Would you please stop complaining?" Zander cried in annoyance. She looked back at prince and Nancy who murmured along the way. He pouted his face "no. my tournament"

"It's just a game" Nancy supported Zander

"To you it is. To me, it's my life" Prince returned annoyed

"Why did you choose him?" Zander faced Nancy wanting to know the stupid response she was going to give

"I just wanted a guy on our team"

"Oh, I'm sorry I didn't realize that I was the one who noticed that Benjamin was the only normal boy there" Nancy looked down as she drew imaginary circles on the floor. "Let's just walk silently" Nancy nodded in agreement.

As they walked down the cave, a click was heard. The three stared at each other in fear. All were aware of what they heard without having to ask questions. Each waited for someone to move forward as that was where the sound was coming from.

Prince gestured to both Nancy and Zander "ladies first"

"Coward" Nancy mumbled under her breath. We both moved forward and prince followed from behind. The click grew louder as they drew forward. Then a slight scream was heard. Deep breaths were taken as we drew closer. As they turned to their right, they bumped into Benjamin, Braun, and Nicolette. Their faces expressed fear. They stood up immediately and yelled run! Prince and Nancy followed without knowing why, but Zander waited to see what was happening before she ran.

*PRESENT*

"So, no one found an opening?" Benjamin asked the three of them expecting a positive response. Zander sat on the floor and the rest followed except for Benjamin as his gazed followed prince who was busy with his phone waiting for signal.

"Are we stuck here?" Nicolette asked after a moment of silence. The question sank into their head and the look on their faces showed they had accepted their fate. Benjamin joined them to sit on the floor as he thought that they might die there. His eyes were filled with regret as he was the one who put in the idea to come to the cave in the first place. He looked at Zander for a while as she won't be in this mess, after all she came looking for them.

As each of their thought grew deeper, a light appeared under the sand. Benjamin dug through and found a black coin that emitted light. He picked up the coin and stared in amazement. The coin's light increased and lit up the whole cave with black lighting

"Hot, hot" He dropped the cross on the ground as it became hot. Slowly the coin transformed into a cross.

"what's that?" Braun pointed at the cross on the ground finally gaining his senses back.

"I don't know. It was a coin that's for sure. But now it's a... cross?" Nicolette responded unsure of what to call it. The cross looked like a medium sized golden pendant that could be worn as necklace. It had several layers on it that could be detached and the light in the middle was black in color. "Lets…"

Suddenly the ground started to shake causing the rocks to rubble. The cave walls moved and the ground they were standing on pulled up. It seemed like an earthquake. But the cave turned into a maze. The ground pulled up and stopped. They looked at each other waiting for someone to say something. As they looked around, their eyes landed on the back of the creature. Benjamin immediately held Braun's mouth knowing he was capable of screaming. Slowly, the creatures turned and faced them, smelling their scent. It screeches towards them. Without hesitation prince ran in the direction of the maze and the rest followed. They ran following Prince through the maze. But Nicolette ran towards the creature, siding under the creature's belly. She picks up the cross. "Guys" She waves the cross to them.

"Leave it Nic" Benjamin stopped to yell. She throws the cross in Zander's direction. As at that time they all stopped to see what Nicolette was up too. The creature attacked Nicolette with its leg and threw her to the ground. He growls in front of her and uses his mouth to devour her. In unison they yelled "Nicolette"

Out of shock Prince came to a halt and the creature jumps toward him to get him too. Nancy ran to meet him and gets chewed up. Zander picks up the cross and held it in front of her. The creature stopped and moaned in fear before running away. The three looked at each other before all falling to the ground and blacked out on by one.
