Hunter stepped out of the elevator, adjusting his tie as he walked down the hallway leading to his office. He nodded in acknowledgment to the few employees he passed, each of them offering polite greetings.
His mind was still on Delilah, replaying the event in her office over and over. The taste of her lips, the way she wrapped around him, and the heat of their quick encounter was all he could think about.
Hunter's steps faltered as he reached his office. He was surprised to see Damon lounging in one of the chairs by the reception area outside his office; his long legs stretched out in front of him and a mischievous grin on his face.
"About time you showed up," Damon drawled, sitting up and running a hand through his tousled hair. "Fred said you disappeared without a word. I was about to put out a missing persons report."
