Chapter 13-Alexis
After we had breakfast at Kasey's place, we all went to work. Kasey in her own car and the rest of us in Vicky's. I stayed quiet during the drive there, just thinking. My head wasn't at work the whole day, I was out of it.
I had to make a call midday to book an appointment with the same doctor that verified our IVF because we needed answers. She confirmed that Friday would be good, which would've been three days from then.
I twirled in my chair as I contemplated whether or not to call Kasey just to inform her. I bit my lip in frustration knowing that we hadn't reached the maximum level of comfort with each other since I couldn't call her without thinking about it first.
