Time frame: after the war
In the peaceful and uneventful world of Metaena, life for the Gamaaloth people was calm and unremarkable.
Aside from the extreme weather and the occasional attacks by wild monsters, the society lived in a state of relative peace, free from political turmoil or strife.
Metaena's harsh and unforgiving terrain deterred any outside interests from attempting to conquer the land, making it a sanctuary for the Gamaaloths.
Surviving in this treacherous environment was no easy feat, and the only creatures that managed to adapt and thrive were the dragons, monsters, and wild beasts that roamed the area, as well as the Gamaaloths themselves, who were the result of interbreeding between humans and beasts.
Amidst the rugged natural beauty of Metaena, the Gamaaloths eked out a simple existence. Their homes were built into the mountainsides, and their lives revolved around the care and taming of the beasts that shared their land.
