(*It's very familiar... Fighting someone like you reminds me of someone I know.)

"Are you all talking? Then~ I'll come to you!" I charged toward the monster, fueled by a mixture of anticipation and excitement. However, to my surprise, he vanished from his position. Confusion filled my mind until I looked up and noticed a skeleton head and a bright light shining towards my mouth.

Instinct took over, and I swiftly dodged the attack, narrowly escaping its grasp.

(*Oh? You're rather nimble... Are you one of those athletic types?)

I turned around, my gaze fixed on him. His hands were casually tucked inside his hoodie pocket.

"You... How did you..."

(*Oh, don't misunderstand me. I just happened to be passing by, curious about the commotion.) His right eye glowed with a faint blue light. (*And I must say... the outcome is quite chilling.)

"Enough chit-chat!" I exclaimed, determination fueling my every move. My sword emanated a powerful red glow as I unleashed a barrage of slash projectiles toward him.

However, with seemingly effortless grace, he effortlessly sidestepped each and every slash, as if they held no threat to him.

He sighed, an air of weariness surrounding him. (*How troublesome...)

His calm demeanor and ability to elude my attacks with ease only added to the growing frustration within me.

After my failed attempts to land a hit on him, I took a step back, catching my breath. The battle had revealed the vast gap in our abilities, leaving me with a mixture of awe and frustration. on the other hand, maintained his calm composure, seemingly unfazed by my attacks.

He looked at me, his expression softening ever so slightly. (*You've got determination, kid. I'll give you that.)

His words resonated within me. Determination—that elusive force that seemed to define the battles I had fought. It was the very essence that pushed me to keep going, to refuse to give up even in the face of overwhelming odds.

He continued, his tone more serious. (*But listen kiddo. Power alone won't bring you the answers you seek. There's more to this world than meets the eye. Don't lose sight of who you are.)

Shut up...!" I snapped, frustration seeping into my voice. With a surge of determination, I dashed forward, slashing at Sans with all my might. However, my strikes fell short, missing their mark by a hair's breadth.

Sans leaped backward, summoning a blaster that fired a beam.

I swiftly dodged, narrowly avoiding the blasts. But then, to my surprise, my soul suddenly turned blue, as if compelled by telekinesis, forcing me to descend towards the ground.

(*Look, kid, calm down... I'm still talking, you know?)

Gritting my teeth, I glared at him, a mix of determination and frustration fueling my gaze. The battle had ignited a whirlwind of emotions within me, and his presence served as a constant reminder of my limitations.

(*Hmmm, now that I realize this... It does certainly remind me of the past)

Taking a deep breath, I made a conscious effort to regain control over my emotions. I released the tension in my body, allowing my anger to dissipate. "Alright, let's talk this out..."

*It really reminds me of the past... but fine, I'll give you a chance.

He leaped back, creating distance between us, while I stood up, my gaze fixed on him with determination.

(*Well, kid? Do you mind if you reset? It won't hurt, trust me.)

I smiled, shaking my head. "No way in hell!~" I dashed forward, refusing to give in to his proposition. But then, to my surprise, a blue bone thrust through my body, immobilizing me. Blasters surrounded me, trapping me in their ethereal glow.

(*I knew it... How nostalgic...)

The blasters fired, their projectiles crashing into me. I felt my soul shatter, a surge of pain coursing through my being.

Hahhh... I'm finally dead.

But when I opened my eyes, I found myself in a hospital bed. Confusion swept over me as I sat up, taking in my surroundings. "I'm at the hospital...?"
